Derry, Maine
3rd Person
Beverly sat on the fire escape of her building, waiting for (Y/N) to come over, she heard footsteps. She got excited, thinking about one on one time with (Y/N), She got up running down the fire escape, until she heard Richie talking about taking the alley. Her excitement went away almost instantly. (Y/N) had to bring the entire group. She didn't tell him not too but she thought he would get the idea that it's supposed to be one on one.
(Y/N) POV
I was walking with my group when Richie started blabbering about something. I was letting them argue about whatever they were arguing about because I was thinking about what I was gonna say to Beverly. We turned the corner of the building and Beverly was right there. 'You made it. I-I need to show you something." I had no clue what she was talking about. Richie took a shot "More than we saw at the quarry?" I walked over to him and picked him up by his collar. "You say something like that again, and you will have broken bones." I could tell he was scared because he didn't crack a joke. She got back on track, saying "My dad will kill me if he finds out I had boys in the apartment." I came up with an Idea, "We'll leave a lookout. Richie stay." He asked "What if her dad comes." while we we're going up the stairs. Stanley turned around and told him "Do what you always do, start talking." I stopped running up the stairs and started laughing a bit. I picked up my rate going up the stairs waiting at the top for Beverly to open the door to her apartment. We got in and she started guiding us through a hallway. until we reached a turn, I turned the corner expecting to see something bad, like a dead person but nope. Just a closed door. I heard Beverly, "In there." I walked up to the door and waited for everyone to move up closer. Everyone was talking while they moved closer to the me and the door. Eddie started talking about how accidents happen in bathrooms. I grabbed the doorknob and pushed. A red tint shined on all of us. The walls, floors, curtains, everything was stained with blood. Everyone was speechless. Eddie gagged. I turned to Beverly and asked what happened. She replied "My dad couldn't see it. I thought I might be Crazy. The first thing that came to my mind was to help her, "We can't leave it like this." I walked into the crimson painted room. We slowly started cleaning the room. Everyone did their part. This made me feel like we're a team. I was mopping. Eddie was barely doing anything. It took a while but we finally did it. The room looked as good as new. Everyone picked up a bag and left the room except for me and Beverly, leaving us alone. I turned around and saw Ben looking at her room. I threw a sponge at him, knocking him out of his focus. He walked out with everyone else. Leaving me and Beverly alone. I started up a conversation "All right, so you've never been to the Derry Summer Fair?" I didn't expect an answer, but I got one. "No, I don't think so." We both chuckle "Not that I know of." she said. I laughed and looked over at her. She looked me in the eyes "I got your drawing." A weird emotion overcame what I was feeling at the moment. I couldn't tell what it was, it was something like pride mixed with nervousness. I was happy she got it but I was scared she didn't feel the same way. She pulled me into an embrace. I was confused but I hugged back. She backed out and said "I love you." I still had my hands around her. I dropped my hands to her hips. I saw a blush come over her face. I pulled her closer and felt our lips touch. Instant happiness shot through my veins. I couldn't believe it. She loved me. I looked her in the eyes, "Does this mean-" Before I could even finish my question she answered "Yes." She turned away. She thought about something for a second and turned back to me. "It's not true, you know. What they say about me. I only ever kissed one guy. It was a long time ago." I grabbed her shoulders, "I know, Bev. I never believed any of the rumors, and I'm pretty sure none of the other guys do." I pulled her in for a quick kiss.
________
I felt I should leave this short because, It was the first romantic encounter other than the post cards and drawing. I also have an important message, my great grandma is dying, so I might not post for a little bit. It might be a week or a few months, but I won't cancel the story or discontinue it or just leave it like I did before. I don't think it will take a few months. Probably half a month at most.
The story is also close to 200 reads. That's cool. I missed 100 reads. I'll try not to miss the 200 read mark.
