Aye Caribbeanites!!!

The Easter Holiday is one of the most recognized holiday in the Caribbean.

During the 40 days of Lent preceding Easter, some Jamaicans give up things like drinking alcohol, eating red meat, or just eating pork. Fish will be eaten instead, especially on Good Friday, though some of the most devoted will fast on Good Friday.

Holy Week itself begins with Palm Sunday, is most sombre on Good Friday, then “lightens up” on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, when there are often festive meals and parties going on. Easter buns and cheese are the two most important foods eaten during Easter Week.
Unlike other countries like Trinidad, with Carnival season, Jamaica holds Carnival after Lent instead of before Lent. Lead-up Carnival events occur during Lent and Holy Week and then Carnival officially begins on Easter Day itself when Lent ends.

So, what y'all doing this holiday??

And yardies, plz mek me get me bun and cheese before Good Friday !!!

Happy holidays!!
