Oikawa's P.O.V
"Come on patch lets go" my aunt said. She gave me a tight hug and we got out of the car. We walked into the airport that was filled with people carrying gifts and signs while other people gave tight hugs to one another as they saw their loved ones leave. Now I kinda felt bad I didn't bring Kuroo or Makki anything. Oh well they'll live.
"There they are is!" My aunt said, I looked up and indeed there were Makki and Kuroo. I smiled feeling happy that they were here.
They met my eyes and without thinking twice we ran towards each other and caught each other hugging tightly. They are like big brothers to me and I needed family love at this moment.
"Hey patch! God you got taller and- oh god your eyes look red and puffy. Come here you idiot" kuroo said and hugged me again.
"Shut up" I mumbled and smiled up at him noticing the slight British accent he had now.
"He's right patch im gonna fuck some bitches up" answered Makki also with his new accent.
"Hi Aunty! Ahh I've missed you both so much. Studying abroad is great but difficult." Kuroo said as he hugged Aunty and then went to get his luggage which consisted of one big black suitcase and a smaller one along with his book bag he had on.
"Well suffer. You guys decided to study abroad." I said as I flicked both their arms.
"Gosh Oikawa tone it down on the love will you?" Makki said laughing "yeah but We're on our last year of college which means We can come back home after a few months".
I nodded and smiled at him, kuroo and Makki were both 22 years old making them 4 years older. Kuroo was studying business and management so he could open up a animal shelter and Makki was studying to become a teacher.
I was barely on my last year of highschool. We've lived together ever since my parents kicked me out when I was 14. But they both had lived with my aunt since they were 4. She seemed to have a soft spot for kids. She found Kuroo and Makki when they came tumbling towards her after kuroo was getting chased by the police and Makki was trying to stop the police because they stole food from a store. They were homeless due to the fact the father left and the mother would make them steal money and food so she could buy more drugs.
When my aunt got ran into by kuroo and saw the police coming after him with a small Makki clinging on to the policemen's leg in a futile attempt to stop him she protected them till the end. She went through the adoption process and paid the owner double of what Kuroo and Makki had stolen so everyone could be happy.
Since that day she welcomed Kuroo and Makki into her home. It took them a while to get used to their new home but they loved it. They loved Aunty like they would a mother and loved me like their younger brother.
Makki had always been more playful than Kuroo. Kuroo was a bit more serious but still liked joking around.
I still remember the day I met them, for 3 months straight Makki refused to put shoes on and refused to use a fork or spoon. We got along instantly. When they finally had to go to school i guided them through it all. I had always gotten picked on at school for my girlish complexion. They were always there to defend me. I helped them study and with whatever was needed.
"Okay let's get to the car so you can rest up." My aunt said.
"I missed you a lot you dumbasses" I said to Kuroo and Makki as I helped him with the smaller suitcase.
"Us too you asshole" Makki answered back. To other people it would look like we were insulting each other but this is the way we showed our affection.
"Watch the fucking language kids" Aunty said and then laughed at her own language.
We got in the car after putting the luggage in the back. I got in the front while Kuroo and Makki got comfy in the backseat and my aunt put in the keys to start the car.
"How's school my Kit Kat and gummy bear?" Asked my aunt. I also didn't know where her affinity to nickname us by our favorite candy came from.
"Really cool" kuroo said grinning "the school is amazing as usual and my teachers are really nice"
"That's amazing Kit Kat and I also notice your accent" she smiled "charming"
"My teacher told me I could take this opportunity to be an assistant teacher and he'd give me extra credit" Makki answered.
"That's amazing gummy you could be my assistant teacher ya know?
"That would be great!" Makki said
I smiled and leaned outside the window and looked at the other cars pass by, I didn't feel like ruining their good mood.
"Okay. Yeah. Um. No we ain't doing this Patch. Aunty turn on the Bluetooth speakers please" she turned them on and "Medicine" by Queen Naija came on "FUCK IWAIZUMI'S AND SOPHIE'S UNGRATEFUL ASS" Kuroo yelled.
"HELL YEAH" My aunt and Makki said.
I burst out laughing looking at them. I felt happy with them. I smiled warmly at both of them and the three of us sang along to the song. I felt empowered and a little more confident than before. But the hurt was still there and I couldn't stop thinking about what happened earlier in the morning.
"That's the smile I should of been greeted with" Kuroo said while Makki nodded in agreement.
We kept singing all the way back home. I let myself get caught up in the moment because I deserved this temporary bliss (the cab anyone? No? :,) Okay).
We got home and I helped Kuroo get his things while Aunty helped Makki. After they flopped down on their bed they immediately fell asleep. must be exhausted.
I told my aunt I was also going to nap and she said she would too. We were all tired honestly.
Kuroo's room was right next to my Aunt's and mine was down the hall right next to Makki's. I walked in and turned on my phone. I played "figures" by Jessie Reyez on repeat. I didn't cry this time but I cursed Iwaizumi's name until my heart ached because i know I love him. I'm a hopeless broken-hearted idiot.
I was feeling drowsy and I felt sleepy. I felt my eyes closing but my phone started ringing.
Unknown number. I answered.
"Hello?" I said
"Oikawa" It was Iwaizumi. Who's phone was he calling me on? Why? When I was finally going to sleep too.
"Why are you calling me? I don't want to see or hear you ever again. I thought I told you to leave me alone." I said with anger.
"Baby, please I promise I don't love her because I only love you" his voice sounded tired and strained, like as if he'd been crying "please just give me a chance, I'm nothing without you. I need you Oikawa."
I stayed silent for a while "I gave you everything I have and was, you left that and went for something else. No Iwaizumi. You're nothing without me because you don't need me so there's nothing to need." I hung up and almost threw my phone but I didn't.
I was not about to break my phone over him. Hell no.
I bundled myself in my blanket and turned on the tv. I put on a horror movie. I love horror movies so much. I ended up falling asleep again left alone in the darkness of my mind and a lacerated heart.
