Pippa's POV

"Something's happened to Lin. We need to get to the hospital." I didn't even think before running and grabbing Sebby and my phone. Renee stopped me and said "Let me carry Sebby you can't." Before I could stop myself I yelled "I DON'T CARE RENEE I NEED TO GET TO MY HUSBAND!!" She nodded and we rushed down the stairs to her car. "Ren what happened? Is he going to live." I cried. "I don't know Pips all the hospital said is that you need to be there right away." We sped to the hospital bursting through the emergency room doors. A nurse rushed toward me. "You must be Phillipa Soo Miranda. Mr. Miranda's wife. Come in here." she gestured to a isolated room. When we sat down I immediately burst out "Where's my husband is he alright!?" I was near a point of hysteria. "Calm down miss It's not good for the baby." she said placing a hand on my arm. "I'm afraid there's been an accident. A woman found your husband on the sidewalk bleeding from a gunshot wound. She called 911 and we rushed him into emergency surgery." I was crying still but was able to talk. "Is he out?" Her face softened slightly. "He is in the recovery room. The bullet almost grazed his heart and broke a rib but it is highly unlikely that there will be any long-term damage." My face broken into a slight smile as I asked "My husband will live to see the birth of our son?" The nurse smiled back and replied "Yes he will survive mam. You can go in and see him." I got up quickly and hugged her. "Thank you so much!" I said. I hurried into Lin's room and kissed his head. "Oh Lin I could have lost you!" I exclaimed He looked up at me and said "But you didn't Pip's. I'm still here. I'm safe. We're safe. I love you." I was crying happy tears. "Lin I'm so pregnant and hormonal!" I sobbed. He laughed and took me in his arms. Quickly I texted Ren and asked her to take Sebby home with her. "Come sleep with me" Lin said.

And so I did.
