Congratulations you cannot do that

I was sleepy, but I was already asleep wasn't I? How can you want sleep if you're already asleep? This made no sense.

"She should be conscious," Valkyries voice spoke into the darkness. It sounded like it had come from just above me.
"Are you sure?"Tia's voice replied, the worry detectable even from here.

I opened my eyes.

"AUTUMN!!!"Tia exclaimed, startling me with a hug at the sight. It was nice to see her face again, her golden eyes and golden hair and her beautiful face.
"Hi Tia,"I greeted quietly, smiling back,"How did- wait."
I was in one of those rooms again, with a wheely bed and hospital room stuff. One wall was tinted glass and on the other side I could see Luna, Morwenna, Reyna, Nico and Gideon, all looking surprisingly worried.

I was in pretty much everything I'd been wearing before, except the right arm of my hoodie had been rolled up so the entire thing was exposed. It hovered in something that looked like an MRI scanner, with multiple glowing arms curling around it.
Light rays swept over it.
"I passed out right?"I double checked
"Yep, you did, and I think I've figured out why,"Valkyrie replied, sounding very excited,"I had scanners monitoring everything, I mean not just you but everything in the area but monitoring you was just a bonus." One thing about Valkyrie was she was a rambler. When she was excited she'd talk faster and in a lot more detail than usual, although she was kinda cute when she did.
Her eyes sparkled with enjoyment and she floated a few centimetres off the ground,"So just before you went unconscious I was monitoring scans, and it showed a massive energy release from your position, and whenever theres a surge that big then it usually means something's broken,"She took a large gasp for air, as me and Tia smiled at each other,"And what you were doing at the time, which I think, not know because I still haven't scanned your powers which I really need to do by the way, is you were hiding your normal skin, but then it just stopped, so maybe they link? I'm also pretty sure this is also connected to your arm going... You know."
"So my façade powers might be broken?"I said slowly in realisation.
"Might, and that's the key word here, because I don't know at all. I'd have to run a few small experiments to find out but theoretically this raises a lot of questions."
"My power's broken?"I repeated, not believing it. I couldn't lose a power and I definately couldn't lose the power that let me fit in.

Celestia wrapped her arms around me, kissing away the tears that I didn't even know were there.

"Okay wait,"Valkyrie declared,"It might not be broken broken," I looked up at her again with hope in my eyes,"I'll feed you a power conduit, and see if..." She trailed off.
"Please don't electrocute her,"Tia reminded.
"It's a non-lethal voltage, and it won't even touch her- she'll just be able to use it,"Valkyrie assured,"I mean if you want to try. Autumn?"
This required no thought at all
"Yes please," I replied eagerly.

Valkyrie nodded before turning around and pulling down some extendable power cables from above. She got up, flicking a switch and they came to life, LEDs over their surface lighting up and electricity crackling at their ends.

"I've got a theory about powers like yours,"Valkyrie elaborated,"I call it a feedback effect; so its like your power does something, then it takes its effect on you almost instantly afterwards. They're linked but my theory is that main power can be isolated and made to feed off some form of energy - in this case electricity - without triggering the feedback effects."
"That seems kinda far-fetched,"Tia replied.
"Well if it works?"

"Okay Autumn, focus on the wires and try and harness their power,"Valkyrie instructed,"Without them touching you, and without electrocuting yourself too much."
"But you said they couldn't electrocute her?"Tia accused.

I focused on the wires. What Valkyrie had asked was kind of confusing, but I kind of got the reasoning behind it.

I focused on the façade, pulling at it harder than I'd done before. Mentally yelling at it to HIDE ME.
