I stand there staring down into the hole where my father is laying, my eyes were puffy and red from the amount of tears I have shed, but now I stand here void of all emotion, blank and unresponsive.

People I know little about giving their condolences but I know they really don't care, it's just something people say at funerals.

Tomorrow will be my last day here in chicago and its busy streets and loud neighborhoods, because in two days I will be flying back to my fathers town, La Push.

"Rosie!" I was pulled away from my thoughts and my fathers coffin to see my bestfriend Deuce coming my way,

"Hey" I said meekly

"How're you doing?" he asked and pulled me to his chest for a bone crushing hug,

"Oh you know" was all I could say but it was muffled by his shirt all up in my mouth,

"I'm coming to stay with you till you leave, ma said it was ok" he said releasing me from his death trap of a hug,

"Thank you" I felt my bottom lip quiver, I looked back at my father and threw down the lily I was holding and walked back to my car,

"I'll drive" Deuce said yanking the keys from my hand, I jost walked over to the passenger seat getting in and buckling up, I curled up on the seat and soon found myself asleep,

~

"Miha! We're home" I felt my friend nudging me awake,

"Thanks Bae, what would I do without you" I caressed his jaw, we walked into an empty house full of flowers, cards and the usual household items, everything reminded me of my father, from the coffee cup on the table to the slippers at the door, the whole smelled of him and it hurt.

I excused myself to change and ran upstairs, I threw on a sports bra, some sweat pants and ties my hair in a loose pony tail walking back down stairs and slipping my dads slippers on, I'm not ashamed to walk around like this infront of Deuce, we were intimate at one point but it never went very far and we do have more fun as friends.

~ A few hours later ~

"So what's going to happen with this place?" Deuce asked

"Well, it's mine now so i'll just leave it be ubtill I'm old enough, rent it out maybe?" I shrugged,

"Wow a sixteen year old with her own house, lucky!" Deuce laughed,

"Not yet, after college i'll move back, holidays ofcourse, I'll miss your crazy waaaay too much" I smiled pulling his cheeks,

"You know I hate that" I sacked my hands away,

"Hey!" I shouted startling him "Why don't you move in here, you practically live here anyway, you even have your own room and stuff! I'll keep mine for when I need a break and my dads..." I drifted off realising I still needed to pack away my dads room,

"It's alright I'll leave it be, I won't touch a thing" Deuce said scooching closer to me

"I'll look after your place" he pulled me in to cuddle me, whispering into my hair,

"Thank you" I smiled,

"AND! No parties" I scolded looking up to him,

"Without me" I added with a smile, looking up my bestfriend, he really is handsome but as equally a manwhore, that night I ended cuddled up to Deuce because I didn't want to sleep alone.

The next day consisted of me packing, mostly my stuff, some photos, photo albums and my fathers slippers. Saturday came by all too quickly and I found myself standing at the airport hugging Deuc and his mother farewell, they will be looking after my place and my car untill I return home.

I was sitting on the plane now, switched my phone off and plugged my headphones in for my ipod and closed my eyes, I HATE flying, hate it with a passion, If I could drive I would have but no, my cousin Jacob said he would be picking me up from the air port, I haven't seen him since the last time I was in La Push, that was ike four years ago, he was a scrawny boy, tall and lanky with long hair, he was awkward too, he was taller than me by like a head and has held it over me ever since we were young, the plane began to take off and my grip tightened on the arm rest, relax Rosaline, time to get some sleep, I had a few hours till I reached Seattle so may aswell sleep.
