All that he has of her is a memory. Alice was able to project her visions so that he was able to keep that memory for as long as he needed. It has been two centuries since Alice told him about her. The love of his life, his mate.

He's been alone while he watched his children fall in love, and he was longing for that special someone. Though, he tried to die from self into trying to protect his family, because one of his children fell in love with a human. They had just defeated Victoria, a vampire who was trying to kill Bella.

As I walked down, I saw Alice and Bella talking about the wedding. Bella knew that she wanted to invite someone very special, but she didn't know if she could come. Bella had decided to call her cousin, Lily Romano.

Lily has been out of the country for about 5 years, due to her grandmother from her mother's side falling ill. Her father died, in a car crash, and ever since, Lily has been scared of driving in the dark. She is actually something that nobody can understand, she isn't human. Only Bella knew what she was, and she chose to keep it a secret to protect Lily.

"Alice, I love you, but can I please call Lily now?" spoke Bella.

At the mention of that name, Carlisle's ears perked up. He didn't know why but that name sent shivers down his back. He felt connected to that name, but he chose to brush it off.

"Okay, Bella, I actually want to meet this famous cousin of yours," replied Alice.

Frantically, Bella got her phone out and decided to video call Lily. Finally, after 3 rings, a voice answered without looking at the screen.

"Ciao chi è questo?"(Hello, who is this?) spoke Lily, as she was making food for the orphans outside her gates. It was a tradition for Lily to do this because she felt like if she could make this difference, she would be able to do anything.

"I have no idea what you just said, but hey," spoke Bella. The second the sound came out of Lily's phone, she rushed to it. She hadn't talked to Bella in a while, but she knew what was going on with the vampire drama back at home. Bella was able to call her at any time, and Lily always responded to her call.

"Oh my gosh! Hey Bella, I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you," replied Lily. Who was flushed from making food for an hour. As her face came on the screen, you could hear Alice's intake of breath, and Carlisle's as well. They both knew who she was, Carlisle's mate.

"Oh, I didn't know that you had company Bella, hello, I'm Lily Romano," spoke Lily.
