The sky was a deep purple, several moons lighting the valleys and hills and bodies of water. It was a beautiful planet, but you could not find yourself to appreciate it.
"There," you said, voice hard. You could spot a dimly lit hut-type home in the middle of a vast field. "The only home on the whole freakin' planet."
"I think I'm rubbin' off on you, Stark," Rocket said, and you glanced at him with a smirk.
"Landing now," you announced to the others.
"Stay alert and stay ready," Steve added.
The ship landed a hundred or so feet from the hut that Thanos lived in. Everyone stepped off the ship silently.
Your heart was in your throat.
Halfway to the hut, he emerged. He did not look remotely surprised to see your team.
"Welcome," he said, a smirk touching the corner of his lips. "To paradise."
"Strong word," Tony said.
"Stark, I knew you would find your way back to me," he said.
"How did you know that?" he asked. His voice was shaking. "Because you're in my head? Because you're in my daughter's head?"
"No, that's not how," he said. He walked over to the armor he had sitting in his front yard. He picked it up and started to put it on over his clothes.
But all you could stare at was the gauntlet on his hand.
"You could not live with your own failure. So where did that bring you? Back to me." He placed his helmet on his head.
"I'm going to end this right here, right now. Avengers," your father boomed. At that moment, you and Carol tightened your hands into fists, blue and orange flickering up your arms. Rocket, Rhodes, Natasha, and Nebula lifted their guns and daggers. Clint had his bow and arrow in hand. Lightning flickered over Thor as he gripped Stormbreaker tight. The Hulk was even present, which was a luxury you didn't have in the last battle. "You know what to do."
That was the signal that made everyone charge. The infinity stones on the gauntlet shone as he lifted his fist.
You were fueled with anger; you shot up off of the tall grass and threw your fists out in front of you. He blocked the hit, but Carol had another one right after yours. He was knocked back slightly, recovering only after absorbing the power into the gauntlet and firing it right back at her.
You jumped in front of her at the last second, taking the hit for you. A flash of pain went through you, but you were able to take it and fire it right back at him, distracting him from a hit from Thor.
Your dad was in the air now. He turned to look at you. "Don't start self sacrificing, or I'll tell FRIDAY to send you home."
You rolled your eyes and landed on the ground. Thanos started using the Space stone to shift the ground. He pulled the dirt and earth out from under your feet. Everyone started to get caught on the rocks.
You landed on a flat one, gripping the corner so you wouldn't fall. You glanced around you; your father was blasting through the slabs of dirt and rock, Hulk was smashing through all of it with your fists.
You stood up on your feet and leaped down to a slab below you. You glanced up and saw Rocket - he had one of his own jet pack type inventions on his back. He approached you and waved you forward.
"Come on," he said, "we gotta keep you close to Marvel and Thor."
"Right," you said. You jumped off and into the air, then shot upward and forward to keep up with him.
