4. Luke the Cat

I ran fast as I could away. I looked behind me to find animal control. I turned to an ally to find a dead end. Fuck! I turned back, but was caught. The animal control guy threw me in the back of the truck in a cage with other cats. Let me out of here you motherfucker! How did it turn like this?! All I remember was being with the guys for a midnight walk till we were thrown in a van. Then I wake up to be a cat in a tree. I was hungry, so I went to get food till animal control came when I tried to get food from a hot dog stand. I was pushed inside a kennel at the pound. I laid at the back of my cage. Pretty much I laid in the back of my cage the whole time I was there. They put me as a good enough cat for adoption. When one of the people at the clinic came near me, I hissed and tried to scratch them. Ain't no fucking way I'm letting them touch me. I like people but not ones' that mess with me. They left me cat food and water at the opening of the cage. They were scared to come near. Good. I then hear the door open.

"Right this way. The dogs are right through the other door. What dog would you like?" The clinic lady asked.

"I wanted maybe a protective but a fun one. Maybe a German Shepard or golden retriever maybe." Wait I know that voice. I ran at the opening to the cage to see him. I saw the lady and the man. I knew it had to be him. I know I never saw him in real life, but I know its him. It has to be! Ohm! Get me out of here! He stopped right in front of my cage. He looked at me for a second. I meowed going at the edge of the cage. He raised his hand through the bars to pet me. I let him. He petted me for a while till the lady came noticing Ohm wasn't behind her.

"What kind of cat this is?" Ohm asked.

"This is a Somali cat."

"Looks like a baby fox to me," he said as he continued to pet me.

"That cat is a real trouble maker. A lot of people passed by this cat because he hisses and attacks them. It seems to like you though. Would you like to adopt this little guy?" Little guy my ass.

"I kinda want a dog still. I think it would make someone happy about this cat," Ohm said.

"If someone adopts him that is. Today is the only day this guy has or that's the end of him because of his roughness. The families fear the cat and don't think its proper for the children."

"Ok let's get me my pet," he let go of me and walked with the lady again. NO OHM! I meowed loud crying for him to come back. Come back please! Please Come back and adopt me! I don't want to end! He left to the room to the dogs. Fuck! Ryan! Please..... I walked back to my spot and started to cry. I never got the chance to tell him. I won't be able to see him again....... Ryan........ After minutes pass I hear a little rattle. I thought it was nothing till.

"Hey their little guy." I turned to see him. His golden hazel eyes and his brown hair. I ran back to him, but bumped to the bars. He chuckled a little.

"I guess he really likes you. Are you sure want him?"

"Yea I am. He seems fun to play with and he looks like protective. He underestimated everyone and scares them. I think he's perfect just the way he is," he said petting my head. "I never owned a cat before just dogs. Well I took care of dogs from other owners."

"It's always good for the first timers. I'll get the adoption papers ready. Ms. Timp take this cat for his shots to be cleaned." Shots! Fuck No I ain't gonna get shots! I will gladly end it now.

"Ok little guy I'll see in a bit ok?" Ohm said smiling. My heart skipped a beat. I was glad he couldn't tell since the fur covered it. How can he get any cuter? After 15 minutes of pain I was out. YES! I was placed on the counter in a kennel. Hurry up Ohm! I meowed loud not thinking I did. Ohm looked over. He wrote a little faster. Did he understand what I said? He finally placed the pen down. The lady took it examining it. "Have a good day!"
