A Starry Night

The night was so dim, with the stars giving the glow in the wide, numb sky. The city lights were like candles lined up to give light to the paths, like a torch blazing with non-burning lights. The school looked like an old, vintage building with the darkness covering it. Perth's and Saint's houses were caliginous with only their rooms giving off ray of lights.

Saint's terrace became a picnic ground, with chips and drinks surrounding it, with a tent-looking set-up to stop the cold breeze from giving them the iceberg feeling. The ground was covered with inflated foamy sleeping bag, with unorganized pillows anywhere on top of it.

Perth and Saint covered themselves with a blanket and sat down leaning to the terrace metals beside each other. Their set up was such a sight, it was like everyone of us wants imagine, a majestic view as describe by most.

"Good thing you bought this snacks pee Saint", Perth said jokingly.

"I know right, and that's thanks to you", replied Saint pinching himself for delivering a suspicious word.

"Were you following me then? thanks", Perth said laughing his ass out.

"No! No way!", Saint exclaimed in a weird denial way.

"I know pee, I'm just playing with you. Don't be too serious", Perth foresaid getting all light up.

"Can you not call me pee? You know it just makes me feel old, when in fact, I'm just 19 years old", Saint said suggestively.

Oh. Is that so? Then we're just the same age. Hahaha. Okay Saint", Perth replied.

"You're pretty good in socializing you know. Like I'm not really good at having companions, but here I am chilling with a guy whom I know just by name", Saint chart getting into the good atmosphere of the situation.

"I don't really like socializing too Saint. I don't know, but I guess I'm just comfortable with you, and maybe I felt like I owe you a great companionship for helping and treating me nicely from the first time we met", Perth claimed in a lively yet sincere way.

Saint was a bit touch because of what Perth said and just smiled while slightly closing his eyes as a sign of gratefulness. After that was a moment of silence. Nobody ate yet because no one was willing to take the first bite. It took a while before a bug came which lead them to eat.

"Get out here you filthy bug", Saint said while fanning his hands towards the bug to scare it away.

"Get lost in here. Get lost", Perth announced following Saint's words.

"This bug is quite hard headed", Saint said while laughing.

"It's going away now pee", Perth excitedly said.

"We should eat now, before another bug comes and bother us from eating our foods", Saint stiffly said.

"I guess we should do that then. Haha", Perth smilingly said.

Then Saint started opening the chips and the bottled drink, without hesitations, Perth follow getting one pack of chip and opened it between his laps. They ate and broke the silence that was overruling their moment through the crunch of the chips they were eating. The crunches were so loud because Perth was eating all out that Saint have to gesture him to him but he didn't do so.

"Perth! Hey!", Saint said commandingly.

"Oh. I'm sorry Saint. What is it?", Perth asked in a shock.

"Eat slowly and don't crunch the food too much because it's creating a very blaring sound", Saint said smilingly in a serious way.

"Oh. Haha. I'm sorry Saint, I often eat like this, but I'll eat them in a more controlled way so I can abate the crunch of the chips", Perth said while looking like a shameful tiger.
