Chapter 3

Yugi was looking worse with each passing minute. Everyone was really worried about him. When they arrived at the hospital, Y/N felt like crying. Yugi got hurt because I was too scared to move... If I just defended myself, nobody would be in this situation - not me, not Joey, not his friends... Especially not Yugi.

Y/N tried to fight back tears. Only one tear fell, but nobody saw. "Will he be alright?" Téa enquired. "Fortunately, he will," the doctor answered. Y/N smiled. At least he'll be alright!

A few days later, Yugi was fully recovered and was able to go back to school again. "I'm glad we didn't get in trouble for skipping class, when we helped Yugi," Joey said, feeling relieved. "That's because we've been helping Yugi, you said it yourself! That's the main and only reason we didn't get trouble!" Y/N replied. "I have to agree with Y/N," Téa added.

"Hey, everyone!" Yugi greeted, cheerfully. Y/N ran over and hugged Yugi. Yugi smiled and blushed. "I'm glad you're alright!" Y/N told Yugi. "I-I'm glad you're alright, t-t-too, Y/N!" Yugi stuttered. "If those two became a couple then I'd totally ship them," Tristan whispered. Joey laughed. "As if that's gonna happen!" Téa rolled her eyes at how silly they can be.

"As if what's gonna happen?" Y/N and Yugi enquired. "Nothing!" Joey and Tristan responded suddenly. Y/N made a joke about Joey and Tristan. "They're so alike, they probably love each other as much as they love themselves!" Y/N laughed. Téa and Yugi laughed along with her.

Y/N walked over to Joey and Tristan. "Don't worry, guys. It's only a joke!" she told them. Then, she went over to Yugi. "But I still ship those two," she whispered. Yugi chuckled at what she said. "Would you like to come with me after school?" Yugi queried. "Totally!" Y/N replied, "I'd love to come!"

A while later, they walked together and ended up at Kame Game. "Grandpa, I'm home! And I also brought my new friend with me!" Yugi called. Yugi's grandpa came over. "Y/N, this is my grandpa. Grandpa, this is my new friend, Y/N!" Yugi explained. "It's a pleasure to meet you," they both said to each other.

"If you need us, we'll just be upstairs, okay, Grandpa?" "Okay, Yugi." Yugi and Y/N went upstairs. "So this is where you live? I never would have guessed!" Y/N breathed. Yugi sat down. "What do you want to do?" Yugi asked. "I don't know," Y/N said as she placed her deck on the table. "I never knew you liked dueling, Y/N," Yugi piped up.

"What do you mean? I told you that I liked dueling when we first met. I also told you a lot of other stuff, but dueling was the main one," Y/N replied. "Do you want to have a duel?" Yugi enquired. Y/N nodded shyly. She just couldn't say no to Yugi, he was just too cute!

Yugi took out his deck. He decided to go first. "I place one card face down and end my turn," Yugi stated. Yugi smiled at Y/N. Y/N smiled back. The card must be a monster card, because he left it in the monster cards' row. "Right then, my turn." Y/N drew a card and put it in her hand. "I summon Guardian Of The Throne Room (Level 4 - ATK 1650/DEF 1600) in Attack Mode..." Y/N took another card from her hand. "And I equip it with 7 Completed. The equipped monster gains 700 Attack Points, so now, Guardian Of The Throne Room has 2350 Attack Points. Now, Guardian Of The Throne Room, it's time to attack Yugi's face down card!"

After a while, they were both fired up. Yugi had 950 Life Points and Y/N had 800 Life Points. When Y/N had no monsters left on the field, Yugi decided to attack her directly. Unfortunately, that led to Y/N's loss.

"Even though you lost, you did great!" Yugi complimented. "Thanks, Yugi. You did great, too!" Y/N replied. Y/N looked outside. "It's starting to get dark. I should start heading home." Yugi sighed. "Don't worry; it's not like I'm moving away! It was nice being here! And you're a wonderful duelist..." Y/N said sweetly. Yugi beamed at Y/N. "It was nice having you here. And you're good at dueling, too! I hope we can duel again sometime."

"And when we do, I'll be better at dueling," Y/N responded. "Yeah! I'll see you at school tomorrow!" Yugi replied. Y/N and Yugi were standing at the door. "Well..." Yugi couldn't find the right words. Even so, Y/N gave him a hug. "I'll see you soon, Yugi... My best friend." Yugi felt happy that she said that. "Okay. And you're my best friend, too."

Y/N nodded and left. Yugi couldn't help but smile. He felt happy when Y/N was around. Whenever she spoke, laughed or even just stood there, he liked it all. "What's wrong with me? I don't know why I feel this way when Y/N's around. When Joey, Tristan and Téa are around, I feel happy, but when it comes down to Y/N, I feel a whole different level of happiness!" Yugi said to himself.

Meanwhile, Y/N was thinking to herself about the situation, only in her point of view. "What should I do? I don't know why I feel this way... I just want to be with him forever and the world just seems so beautiful to me when he's around, he's so cute and kind and thoughtful and..." Suddenly, it all dawned on her. "It finally makes sense! I... I never thought I'd have a crush on anyone here, but it makes sense! I have a crush on Yugi..."

Y/N thought about it for a while, before she fell asleep.
