(Winry’s POV)

Ow… My butt hurts. How do those two ride on these things all the time?

She looked around the bustling station.

Ed said there’d be someone here i’d recognize right away. But who?....

She spotted a large muscular man with a moustache and pink sparkles around him.

Oh.

“Major Armstrong! Major!” she called.

“Ah, miss Rockbell. Are you well?”

“Yeah, i’m fine. Stupid Ed. Can’t even pick me up, huh?” she grumbled.

The major looked uncomfortable. “Uh..you see, miss Rockbell, Edward could not come for a good reason! He was...taken in, persay.”

Winry’s eyes widened. “Taken in? So he finally crossed the line and was sent to juvenile hall, huh?”

“...Not quite.” The major leaned down and whispered in her ear.

“Huh? The hospital!?”

“Oh my god!”

Winry dropped her bags and stared at Ed, who was completely covered in bandages. Ignoring you. Yep.

Sometimes you wondered if you should really be with the Elrics. They had their own lives, their own friends. Was it wrong for you to want to become part of their circle so badly?

“Nobody told me you were injured so badly!” she exclaimed.

“Well, originally I was only hurt half as bad…but…”

“Oh, Edward Elric! Y/N! Why did you disobey me!” cried the major, scooping you both up into bone crushing hugs, causing Ed’s wounds to reopen and your bones to feel like they had been incinerated.

“...That happened.” finished Ed.

“Hmph. You should have been prepared.” stated the major.

“You can’t expect him to be a match for you, major!” protested Winry.

But then she looked upset. She clasped her hands together. “It’s my fault. You got hurt because I didn’t do a good enough job on my automail. The one way I can help you, and I screwed it up.” she said sadly.

Everyone stared at Ed.

“Eh!? No, Winry it wasn’t like that! Your automail was flawless as ever! And when it broke, it stopped me from getting even more beat up! So don’t worry, all right?” he said quickly.

“All right! Now let’s talk about the fees for my automail!” she cheered.

(time skip)

Ed was shirtless, laying down on the bed as Winry worked on his automail. It was taking all of your strength to keep from screaming “KAWAII!!!” at the top of your lungs, because you doubted anyone would appreciate it. However, your face was tinged slightly red. You hoped nobody would notice.

“All done!” proclaimed Winry, wiping the sweat off her forehead. “Finally.” Ed grumbled.

“Be nice, Edward.” you chided. He rolled his eyes.

“Hey, Winry, while you’re at it, could you look at my leg? It feels kinda weird.” you told her.

She checked it, and nodded. “Uh-huh. The gears are out of alignment.”
