Night Fall

The Run Away

We walked in silence for a while down to the docks, we hung are feet over the edge, i broke the silence, i was gonna tell him even if i didn't want to. 

"Travis.." 

"Ya" he answered. 

"I need to tell you something.." my heart was pounding. 

"Ya Stephine? What is it?" he asked.

"I'm a......" i paused. I could feel my palms already getting sweaty, especially my armpits.

"I'm a vampire" i stopped.

"No way" he said in disbelieving.

"Ya i can show you" i stopped opened my mouth and large fangs appeared then he said something that shocked me.

"Really i thought i was the only one" he opened his mouth to revel two large white fangs.

"Wait your a vampire too" my eyes wide open, with shock.

"Ya, i thought i was the only one, but this just shows that there are more" he smiled and put his hand on top of mine. 

Giant sparkles appeared in his eyes like white diamonds, he got up and kissed my four head.

"Thank you Stephine a large weight has been lifted off my shoulders" he got up and walked away whistling a tune.

As soon as he left it was quiet, i could hear faint crying i followed the noise deep into the forest then crouched behind some bushes, there a girl was crying, her hair covering her face. 

"You OK? " i whispered she looked up at me large fangs replacing her teeth.

"Whats happening to me" she cried.

"Its OK, i have the same thing and i know someone else with the same problem" i reassured.

"Really" she said wiping the tears from her eyes. 

"Yes" i said extended my fangs to show her. 

"Your a vampire now" i said. 

"But how.. wh-what did i do?.. how did you get it?" she asked.

"I got up one morning and had it, i don't know were i got it" i kinda looked disappointed that i couldn't help her with that. 

"Oh" she said, then i took a better look at her once, she stopped crying.

"Hey, i remember you, you were there in the bathroom when i screamed that one morning" i sighed. 

"Oh that's right you had a zit" she kinda giggled. 

"Well these are my zits" i said pointing to my fangs.

"Oh that's why you covered your mouth" i could tell she felt stupid for believing me.

So there we were out in the woods, we shared stories and had fun, i think i made my first friend since i had joined moonlight. Later that night, i slept with ease knowing that i was not alone. I got up the next morning, nice and rested. I took a shower and got dressed, finished some homework i forgot to do the night before. I walked down the hall and saw the girl i was talking to in the woods the night before. 

"Hey" i yelled.

"Hi" she said.

"I forgot to ask you your name" i asked.

"Oh its Claire and you" she asked. 

"Oh I'm Stephine" i said with a smile.

"Here come with me" i said, i had an idea.

"But ill miss my first class" she said. 

"You can spare one" i reassured we ran through the halls then i saw Travis. 

"Travis" shouted he turned and ran over to us. 

"What's this about" he asked.

"I have an idea if the word gets out that were vampires they could capture us or worse they could kill us" i said in a whisper. 

"So what are we gonna do about it"? asked Travis.

"Ya were to young to do anything might as well go turn are self's in" said Claire. 

"Wrong, empty your backpacks fill them with all the clothes and money you can find and meet me at the docks when everyone is asleep" i said.

"Alright, but i don't know were this is going" agreed Claire.

"I'm in" said Travis.

We all left to different classes, i hoped they listened and did as i said and came to the docks. As soon as i got back i started to pack, happy that Brenda wasn't there to ask questions. I hopped out the window and ran as fast as i could, i was happy to see Claire already there waiting. I waited with her a couple minutes, later came Travis. 

As soon as he saw me he asked "what's this about?" 

"We can't stay here or were gonna really hurt someone, if we hike through the woods there's a town, we'll stay in a hotel then get out in the morning and that's as far as i got" i replied. 

"OK" they said.

We started to hike half way through, i heard a noise. 

"Shh you hear that?" i whispered.

The noise happened again, then a shadow appeared in front of us, i stepped forward. 

"Who are you show your self" i yelled into the darkness. 

"Were are you guys going" the voice said very shallowly. 

"Why do you care, did you hear me?! Show your self!" i yelled again.

A boy about like are age now stood in front of us, he had long blond hair, blue eyes he looked like he was running away too. 

"I'm Grant, I'm trying to run away, no sense on being afraid " he said that really ticked off Claire. 

"What did you just say you skinny brat? I'm not scared of no one" her teeth were now twice there normal size. 

"Wow....anger issues much" he snickered. 

"Oh that's it" said Claire. 

"Calm down Claire" i said. 

"Maybe i don't wanna" threatened Claire.

I turned to her, my teeth were bleached with blood my eyes blood red. 

"You will stand here and leave him alone unless you wanna end up like Brenda" I threatened. 

"Fine" she pouted.

My teeth shrunk and my eyes regained focus. 

"Why are you running away?" i snapped at him. 

"Calm down, apparently we're leaving for the same reasons" he said softly.

"Being" i challenged.

"We are vampires, who cant stand being at a human school because we're scared that we will hurt someone " he finished. 

"So your a vampire prove it" i smirked. 

"As you wish" he said he tilted his head back and long white fangs appeared.
