I relayed the dream to my mother, during a breakfast of Vegemite on toast. She looked at me, eyes full of worry, then sighed, and began scrubbing the dishes again. In the meantime, I headed off to school.

Finally, it was recess. I headed to the corner of the gym that had come to be known as mine, for everyday I sat there, and read. All of a sudden, Riley Logan, the "popular girl" in my grade, began to speak over the noise in the gym. She was in the course of her daily celebrity gossip read-over on her phone, during which she felt the need to vocalize anything interesting to everyone else.

"OMG, guys. That band 5-es-oh-es, or whatever, crashed their tour bus." my eyes widened, then I began to tear up, worried for Ashton's and his bandmate's safety.

Riley spoke again. "Ugh, I hope they all died." She rolled her eyes, "They sucked anyway." That tears it. I rose to my feet.

"Shut up!" I screamed. Everyone turned to me in surprise. Riley's lips curled into a grin of pleasure.

"Oh my gosh, it speaks!" She laughs, along with a few others, "Ooh, it's Faith Irwin! I'm so scared!" She waves her arms mockingly.

"Puh-lease. What is she gonna do? She just sits alone in a corner all day." It was true. I was a social outcast. I never talked to anyone for fear of losing control of my emotions. It was too late, now, however. I felt myself brimming with anger.

In one swift move, I tugged my bracelet off and let it fall to the ground. Jump ropes and basketballs floated in the air near me. I let my anger spread and lift up my classmates, too, including Riley. Then, I let them fall with a simultaneous thud.

But I wasn't done yet. I couldn't control myself anymore in my blind rage. My feet carried me to where Riley was sitting. My fist connected with her dumbfounded face. Then, I hurriedly grabbed my bracelet and backpack, and ran out of the building. I didn't stop for at least three blocks.

Huffing and puffing, I paused at a corner and whipped out my phone. 'This can't be happening' , I told myself. I did a quick google search.

No. It was all too true. The headlines read: 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER BUS WRECK-1 HOSPITALIZED. I skimmed the following paragraphs to find out that the band was at Zavadil Hospital. That was downtown! Ashton must've been planning on surprising me and mom. Mom! She was still at work. Man, was I gonna be in so much trouble later on.

I ran home anyway, and hopped on Ash's old four wheeler, which was parked in the garage. Then I set off. We lived in a small house in the suburbs of Sydney, so I didn't ride long before I spotted masses of girls crowded around the tall building that was the hospital. I guess I hadn't realized how famous the band had gotten.

Anyway, leaving the four wheeler on a sidewalk, I jumped off and made my way through the mob to the front door. Struggling inside, I found the woman with dark curly hair behind the front desk, looking at me in dismay. I realized that I needed a ruse.

"Excuse me," I said innocently, "but is there someone famous here? because there are some girls outside trying to break a window with a rock."

The woman rushed outside, giving me time to take a peek at her dimly glowing computer screen. I quickly located their names and found that they were in Waiting Room 107. I tore down the hallway until I found it.

When I threw open the door, I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw Ashton rise to meet me. He was unharmed, save for a few cuts and bruises. I burst into tears as he wrapped me in a warm hug.

"You knew about this, didn't you?" he whispered to the top of my head. I nodded, unable to speak. Glancing behind Ashton, I immediately recognized Michael's highlighter-pink locks and Calum's distinctive looks. With them was a girl with long blonde hair who looked vaguely familiar. I processed this all and came to a conclusion.

"It was Luke, wasn't it?"
