" . . . or I will kill you!" I tried to pull away from him, but I was shaken. He had turned so violent so quick in a matter of seconds. I guess I pushed a little too far, way to go Midoriya. "Are you deaf? I said leave!" I only sat there frozen as I stared at his face, his angry eyes only dared me to try something. Where would I even go? I don't even know my way back to the village.

For a moment, I saw a flash in his eyes that said otherwise. They appear dark and gloomy and begging for attention. But the way his body was reacting gave off the opposite. It warned me to leave him here. alone in this cave up on this mountain. As much of a pain he seems, or whatever pain he must see me as. I will be that thorn in his side. He deserves to go out and explore. There is so much he needs to see and so much that he has missed, but where will I take him? The capital seems too big and crowded for him, he may try to kill someone with that attitude.

Seeing as I would not move anytime soon, he backed off, dropping my collar from his grip. His eyes still dreamed of tearing me to pieces, trying to intimidate me. "At least consider it," I mumble. He lowers his head, the shadows on his face hiding his eyes from me. Abruptly, he stands to his feet. His hands by his side and the fire still lighting him up, yet I could not see his face too well.

"You don't even know me, a stranger who only saved your pitiful life," his hands turned white as they clenched tightly, and his feet carried him in a hurry. I had no strength, nothing at all, to get to my feet and go after him. It was like all my determination had fled me when he got upset. The look in his eyes was alluring and they had warned me to stop, but I didn't and I continued. There was just nothing I could do to shut myself up back there. The look in his eyes had changed when he walked away. They had turned dull and void of any emotion, except for the lingering guilt or regret of some kind.

A soft flow of air brushed in and pulled at my green curls. On my cheeks, the wind made them turn pink from the cold. I brushed my hand through my hair, pushing them back. Then, the ground shook with tremendous power as if a giant titan was on a warpath. I sprang to my feet to grab my weapon and I started running outside. What I saw next made me gasp suddenly. A huge display of cracks, shining bright in the sky. The cracks spread out as if a large spider had decided to rest there, making a web over a barrier. The barrier was made with green magic and someone must be attempting to bring it down. Ahead of me by a few feet was Bakugou; he appeared to be stressed by what we were seeing in the sky. "What's happening? Do you have a barrier up?"

He didn't respond, but he took off in a hurry toward the source of the cracks. Shock waves sent me flying back, and I tumbled along the ground. The barrier must have strong magical resistance to whatever, or whoever is trying to bring it down. Magical barriers are used by powerful spell casters, and they can range from red to blue defensive magic.

Five types of magic can create barriers. Red is the strongest and it has special qualities equipped. For example, if an outsider breaks through the barrier, or tries to, the barrier counters any attack thrown at it, making it the most invincible barrier to be created. The other types of defensive magic include pink, green, white, and teal. Teal defensive magic is the weakest, but most people use them for little protection against boss enemies in dungeons or for lower-level monsters.

Green, however, is a middle-class defensive spell with the ability to recover slowly in a small amount of time. This makes green barriers able to regain strength to hold off attacks, but too much damage taken can take forever to regenerate. The ground once again had tremors erupting from the source of the attack.

I got back to my feet and went after Bakugou because he had more of an idea of what was going on. Hopefully, he might tell me what is happening, and maybe I can help the best I can. Ahead of me, I saw four villagers pressing their backs together with their weapons in their hands in a defensive nature. One seemed to be in his early teens and I had seen him before. By the look of his form, I could already tell he was unfit for a fight. I ran to them through the low fog at our feet. My left foot stepped on a branch, snapping it to pieces. He yelped in fear as he pointed his weapon, a dagger, in my direction.

"Who's there!? Show yourself monster!" His voice trembled just like his fragile form. I stepped out to greet them, and they seemed to relax upon seeing me. The boy spoke up as he lowered his weapon, "you. Your that traveler that went missing. Thank the goddesses we found you. Your friends and a few other groups were sent out to locate you. They feared you might have gotten lost in the ghostly mist. Right now, your witch friend is in the process of bringing the barrier down."

Uraraka was the one attacking the barrier, so that explains it. There was a slight moment that another tremor rumbled through. This one disturbs the animal life here, sending two boars and a flock of filthy crows running. "If she is working on the barrier, then how did you guys get in?"

I didn't get an answer from any of them. They exchanged looks, and one nodded off. The boy whispered under his breath and lunged at me with full power. With a quick reaction, I blocked his attack which pushed me back a little. I had completely underestimated his strength. The others were quick to follow as they tried to cut at my sides. One dagger cut my thigh, but I slipped in a kick to the attacker's stomach. "I thought you were here to rescue Me? Tell me what is going on!" I held a defensive position, holding my sword in front of me. They surrounded me in seconds and not one said a word. I was beginning to not like this situation at all.

Were they really villagers as they say they are?
