What Do I Do?

“I could say that being far from the capitol is actually relieving,” I say.

Kaminari joins me outside, and we begin to chatter over random subjects. I think all this kid knows how to do is talk about everything, but I can admit that a lot of his thoughts sound a little over dramatic. Or just silly.

“Wow, I can guess why it might feel like that for you. The busy streets. Crowded places. But I can’t say that I feel the same as you.”

“Oh, and how do you feel about the capitol then?”

A can clinks from Kaminari foot as we passed a trashy alleyway. Silver glints of trash cans covered in grime sit huddled against the wall. It was not so pleasing to see, but we move on nonetheless.

“Well, I haven’t actually been there yet, but there’s someone up there that I’m in love with.”

A smile pops up on my face. He looks over and can already see what I’m doing.

“I’m being serious! We met a few years ago, and I’ve been meaning to visit him lately.” He huffs and crosses his arms. His body angles away from me so I can’t see his fake-pouting face.

“It’s a him?”

He doesn’t say anything. Maybe he got offended or thinks that I’m being too judgy?

“I’m s-sorry I’m not judging you or anything like that. Please forgive me for being blunt.”

“No. It’s fine. Don’t worry about it. But yeah. I probably should have told you that I’m into guys. He never told me his name, but I remember what he looks like.”

“Does he like you back?’

More silence ensues as he looks down in defeat. I can feel his aura of depressing vibes.

“I don’t think he does.” He stops for a moment before the features on his face light up. “Since we landed on the subject of love interests, do you have anybody in mind, Midoriya?”

“I guess now that you mention it, I haven’t considered those sort of feelings like you have. I don’t even think there is anyone.”

“Are you sure? What about the girl in your party? she looks very . . . I guess bubbly in a good way.”

Bakugou appears in the foremost of my mind. Why am I thinking of him when the conversation was moved to Uraraka?

“Ah, no. She stills considers everyone she meets as friends. I can assure that if anyone likes her, it would most likely be Iida.”

I start laughing subconsciously at the mere thought of the tall knight trying to court our young witch. He has to have thought it was funny because Kami begins to laugh along with me.

“Those two from earlier? I can totally see it happening.” He wipes under his eye. I assume that he is the type of person that cries when he laughs. “But who do you like? Think of someone you generally enjoy being around. Um, what about that angry fellow?”

“Bakugou? I don’t know. I’m not sure he likes anything really. Though I could be wrong. I still don’t know much about him.”

I can’t exactly say that he lived alone for years on a mountain and that he was a raging dragon with temper issues. Well, the temper part is already well known to anyone the guy meets.

"Just because you don't know much about him doesn't mean you might fall for him any minute. Keep that in mind while you are at it." Kaminari brightens up with a goofy smile. It makes me smile. Me falling in love with Bakugou seems a little far fetched to me. I don't know how I'll be able to cope with such attention from him. He's too good for me . . .

"Let's not jump ahead of ourselves," I laugh softly. "I'll let you know if that part of my life becomes interesting enough to tell."

“Alright, whatever you say-” His hand grasps at my arm. His grip pulls down and clenches around my arm. It hurts.

"What's wrong?" I stop walk and use my other hand to grab his wrist. His knuckles were starting to turn white from his grip.

"You really are naive for a cutie," a girly giggle whispers into my ear. Warm air sending goosebumps down my neck. My hand jumps from his wrist to my neck. As I turn, the voice is gone.

"Kaminari, what's going on?" I look down and he's on his knees. A knife protrudes out of his shoulder blade, blood clotting up in the fabric. "Hold on." I frantically look around if anybody is near or around to help. But no one is here, so I try to get him to stand. He struggles to stay on his feet, so I let him hold onto my wrist. "We need to go back. They can help us."

"I don't think you have enough time for that." A cold object touches me skin making me freeze. "That dagger highly poisoned. By now, it should be making it hard for him to breathe."

"Who are you." Her face comes closer to mine and I can see her eyes. Those yellow orbs burn into mine. The cold blade moves away, and kaminari falls back down to his knees.

"You'll find out soon enough." She kicks me back hard. I double over my arms wrapping around my abdomen. It feels like I might pass out front he force she dealt with one kick.

My eyes slowly follow up to focus on her. She stands next to Kaminari and rips the blade out. Her hand roughly grabs at his hair and pushes him to the ground.

"Wow, the poison is working much better than I expected." She kneels, pulling him up by his hair. "You cute, but too bad since you'll be dead soon." She laughs and girls the blade around her fingers. I try my best to stand. Staggering some, I get my sword out. This needs to end quickly before things go for the worst.

“Let him go!”

I direct the end of my blade towards the strange girl. Her smile grows with malice as the tip of her dagger presses against Kaminari’s neck. He flinches back from the metal object, but he only ends up being cut in the process. The alarms of panic start to settle in as I see blood dripping down steady as she keeps applying pressure.

“Well, well, well! Doesn’t this look awfully bad for him.”

She giggles under the dark hood covering portions of her face. I can see in her eyes the pure bliss of ecstasy she is having. As if she thinks this is some silly game.

“Maybe he’ll live, on the terms that you will listen to my words very carefully.”

She has to be insane if she thinks I’m going to comply to such a demand from a mad person. More or less one that is threatening over a life.

“M-midoriya, please… .”

My strong demeanor I am putting off falters as Kaminari cries out. His eyes are on the verge of tears, and his shirt is starting to soak up the blood from the wound on his back.

“Make a choice. Drop your weapon and come with me, or,” she draws more blood from the wound. He desperately clings to her arm to get her to stop, but his efforts end up in vain. “Have the blood of your friend at your feet!”

She goes off into a laughing fit. Her cheeks fluster and turn red as she continues to laugh.

What do I do?
