"Bakugou! I haven't seen monsters like these before. Be careful!" A sharp jab to my side quickly shut me up. This situation was getting out of hand and the air between them never changed. Not even by the slightest. Hansen was the first to move without hesitation. In a blink of an eye, he covers the large area between him and Bakugou, hand pulled back and ready to strike.
I stood up the best I could and watched the commotion, the guy next to me never moving from his position. My knees begin to ache from the hard landing earlier, the ground is harder than it looks. The jab took the breath from my lungs, the rope beginning to dig into my wrists and irritating my left arm more. Which, by the way, is now throbbing as the adrenaline begins to disappear. With just enough time to look back up, I can see Bakugou step to the side, a bright flash emitting from his right hand. The Crogeath may be bigger and stronger, but he surpasses them with his speed.
The blow that Bakugou delivered caught Hansen's back leg was just enough to send the monster's back end spiraling around to the front. Eisner was next to quick to aid on his side of the fight, sneaking up as Bakugou's attention was aimed elsewhere. "Behind you!" I yell, not wanting him to get jumped. Immediately after the words leave my lips, I'm kicked in the side, finally sending me to the ground. With his quick reflexes, Bakugou turns to face the charging Crogeath. It was too late though, and Eisner managed to tackle the blonde-haired boy to the ground. I try to get to my feet, managing to get on one knee up before a firm hand was placed on my shoulder.
"Stand down. This will be over quickly," I just sat there in utter disbelief. I looked at Bakugou struggle under the weight of the Crogeath. By seeing their tremendous size, they must be very heavy in weight. I quickly noted this knowledge before focusing on Bakugou. He struggled under the weight of Eisner. Then it hit me that I had to do something. My brain told me, no, yelled at me to get up and help. I kicked up onto my feet and ran towards them. This outburst caught the Crogeaths off guard and gave Bakugou the chance to slip away. He gave a good kick to Eisner's side, sending him back away from him. I put my back against Bakugou's and kept my eyes open.
"Maybe you are worth something than what I originally expected. Listen up, I'll only say this once while the chance is hot," I gave him my full attention as Gertrude was helping Eisner up to his feet. "I almost have enough strength to get another barrier set up, but that will take time. You mentioned that you're friends with a knight and a witch; well, I need you to run off and find them. I don't need them taking down the new one." Before he could say anymore Hansen swung a right fist at me, and I fell to the ground in order to dodge it. Bakugou reached over, took hold of his arm and threw him over me. "You should run now before you get yourself even more hurt."
I wanted to protest, but decided not to open my mouth. He wanted me to run and find them, so I did. I took off towards what I believed to be their location. My arm was buzzing with pain. I could hear the fighting fade behind me as I kept moving. The sky started to light up slightly, so it was almost morning. When it got brighter as I ran, I could see a little bit easier. When I looked several feet ahead, I caught the brim of hat. "Uraraka!"
She saw me shout and sparked up. She looked elsewhere and Iida joined her side. When we met up, I collapsed to my knees from exhaustion. "We were so worried about you!" Uraraka cried as Iida quickly reached into his bag and started to tend to my arm.
"I need you guys to listen to me, I-" Iida hit the side of my head to shut me up.
"What needs to be said, is your poor sense of having a team. You could've been killed or worse. You caused Uraraka to panic, I had to do everything in my power to calm her down." I looked away as he bandaged my arm tightly.
"Iida, don't be so hard on him. I'm sure he never meant for this to happen," Uraraka said, placing a hand on Iida's shoulder. I gave her a weak, apologetic smile and she gave me one in return. They started to chat away, yet I looked back over my shoulder where I left Bakugou.
The sun was now starting to hit the horizon slightly, and birds started to chirp and buzz in the trees.
