“All you have to do is make a choice, honey. Just drop the weapon and come with me.” The same benevolent smile stains her face. Kaminari desperately still clinging to her arm. “Make your choice quick. Your friend is getting weaker.”

She goes off into a laughing fit. All she does is laugh at me. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such a person as mad as she.

What do I do in this situation? I know for certain that my main objective is to save him. That’s all that matters. The tip of my weapon lowers and her grin grows, knowing she’s won me over. In all reality, I guess it appears that way. My true intentions is not to give up on myself or Kaminari.

“Almost there.” She seduces, slowly retracting her blade away. Its steel blade is covered in a dark crimson. The liquid dripping slowly in beats.

“Let him go, and I’ll drop it.” She raises a brow, yet her smile remains. Her fingers clench but then releases. He falls to the ground and lies motionless there. The blood from his neck doesn’t seem to be flooding out if it were to be a major wound, but the poison concerns me. I follow the agreement through, keeping a close eye on her for anything she might attempt.

“Sako. It’s time we take our leave. Leave the blonde to die.” She twirls the dagger and hides it away.

“We had a deal.” I can feel my fingers itch to reach for my weapon on the ground. This is getting frustrating to deal with.

“Oh my, you must have misheard my words. I said to ‘leave the blonde to die’.” She takes small steps toward me, her arms swinging by her sides. Her feet glide right by my friend who needs help. I need to help him quick. Think. Think quickly! There must be a solution. “Your face is so amusing. Trying to act calm even though your friend is going to die any minute from the poison.” She pauses her speech to look back around.

There’s the opening to strike! My hand dives for the handle of my weapon. A blunt force slams into the side of my face. I can feel the rough ground scratch and tear at my skin.

“Oh dear… I turn my back for one moment and you try to kill me?” Her voice sounds laced with annoyance yet some kind of pleasure. “You did great, Sako.”

“I was assigned to be here so the mission doesn’t end in another failure.” I open my eyes and see a man larger in height He towers over her by a foot or more. His face is completely hidden, but his voice his deep. The strangest feature about him was his outfit mostly comprised of yellow.

“None of those grunts could do it, but I managed to trap the bird in one go. I should just kill the rest of that damn species. So useless and unnecessary.” Her tone starts to hone in on despitfulness, losing the pleasure in her mood.

“Do you want me to give the order then?” His fingers grab at the rim of his hat.

“Yes. Send out the order of genocide. I want them off this crumby Earth.” I try my hardest to roll over on my side. I try to use all of my power get up while she’s distracted. That punch almost knocked me out. I can feel my arms struggle to support me. “I can sense something.”

“Miss, we leave now.” His voice gets closer to me, his shoes scruffing against the ground.

“Alright. Take him to room 0730. Right next to mine.” These people can’t be serious. I look over at Kaminari. His chest is barely rising and his skin is deathly pale. I push to my knees, finding the strength to almost stand.

“What’s so important about me.” I stagger on my feet. “I’m not even that strong. My strength is barely even average. How does anything about me interest people like you?” I glare at them, clenching my fist. I spot my weapon behind the man's feet. I don’t care what his name is at this point. The man moves closer, his gloved hand reaching for my face. I try to step away, but my chest feels heavy.
