Chapter 17: The past
Louis;
Just an ordinary day, where I wake up early and jump on my sisters bed to wake her up.
I tip toed into her room, making sure the door didn't creak. I walked up to my fourteen year old sisters bed and hovered over her for a moment.
"TIME TO WAKE UP!" I screamed, pouncing onto her bed and jumping all around.
"Lou! Get off!" She mumbled. She was laying on her back, and saw her eyes were still closed.
"Come on get up Tracy!" I moaned, jumping down to the floor and poking her cheek. She groaned and flopped onto her stomach, so I couldn't touch her face. Her tank top she was sleeping in slipped up a little so that I could see her back. I narrowed my eyes at her exposed skin. There were marks, but not bruises and scratches. I slipped her tank top up a little more and saw they were all over her back.
"Lou! What are you doing?" She asked, not moving.
"Tracy, what's on your back?" I asked getting worried.
"Um, I don't know what is it?" She asked, moving her head over her shoulder to take a look.
"You mean, you didn't hurt yourself of anything?" I asked, moving to look at her. She shook her head and I ran out of the room to get my mum.
"Mum! Come look at Tracy's back!" I screamed. She quickly followed me into Tracy's room where she was now stood in front of a mirror looking at her marks.
"Let me see honey" My mom instructed, walking over to Tracy. She took a quick look before turning to me.
"Get dressed, we're going to the hospital." Ad she walked into her own room. I looked over to Tracy who was stood frozen.
"What's going to happen Lou?" She whispered. I walked over and hugged her.
"Every things going to be fine. I promise."
We drove to the hospital in silence, except for the murmurs of the radio. When we finally arrived, we rushed into the waiting room where Tracy and I sat while mum checked us in. Once again, we were silent.
"Tomlinson?" A nurse asked. We all stood and followed her through the doors. She led us into a room where she asked Tracy pointless questions. She finally took a look at Tracy's back and left the room. She came back a moment late with a doctor. He also took a look and left. He then returned with a needle. Tracy tensed once she saw it and turned away as they stuck it in her arm and removed some blood.
"We'll be back shortly" The doctor said before leaving the room. I was scared. What if something was wrong with Tracy? Nothing can be wrong with her. Nothing.
The doctor returned moments later with a depressed look on his face.
"Tracy, we have some, unfortunately, bad news." He spoke. Tracy nodded for him to go on. He took in a deep breath and sighed. "You are diagnosed with Leukemia."
"Lou! Breath normally!" I heard someone moan, waking me from my sleep. I realized I was breathing heavily and I was all sweaty. It was just a dream. A dream that came true. And is now over.
I walked out of my room, which was also occupied by the other boys, and walked into Tracy's room. Liam had wondered back an hour before I went to sleep, so it was just her in here. She was sleeping peacefully, not a care in the world. I walked over to her, kissed her forehead and walked back to my room, slipping back into my room and about to fall asleep.
