(Chapter 18) "Will you..."

Red's POV

I stood in the living room of mine and Classic's shared apartment with a nervous expression. It had been two weeks since the barrier was destroyed and migration into the human world was proving to be a pain in the ass. You can't even walk down the street without being targeted with hateful slurs and rubbish being thrown at you. And just a week ago some B*tch organised an anti monsters protest which caused a buttload of damage to people and property. However, it's not all bad. Yes, we're still treated like third class citizens, but more and more people are coming to except us with Frisk's help, and within a year huge progress could be made for monsters rights.

Anyway! Enough about politics.

I felt inside my pocket and, sure enough, my fingers (I dunno the meaning of logic anymore) brushed against something leather. Wiping my sweaty brow, I cautiously took it out and opened it up to see a beautiful sliver ring inside. Remembering the previous morning,
I think It must of taken me like two hours to pick a ring because I wanted everything to be perfect for Classic. Sighing, I put the box back in my pocket and resumed waiting for Classic to come back from what must be his fifth job of the day.

"For someone so lazy he sure does get a lot of applications," I said chuckling slightly.

Classic's POV

Rubbing my tired eyes, I slung my bag over my shoulder and tried to suppress a yawn. Me and Red has not being doing well for money recently, so I had volunteered for the night shift 5 days this week in return for a small pay rise.
Despite this, it still wasn't enough so I took a couple other small jobs around town. Such as doing paper rounds or delivering pizza.

It was utterly draining, but in the end it was worth it if it helped Red. I mean, the guy had saved me after all.

When I had finally reached our apartment complex I looked up to see that our hall light was on. Red must be home.

Sighing, I pulled out my keys and fiddled with lock, finally the door swung open after about ten minutes, And inside my eyes were met with one of the best sights of my life.

Rose petals had been scattered all over the floor, and the ceiling light was covered in pink and red streamers. Following the trail, I saw the table which was all laid out with my favourite meal (hotdogs and ketchup) and in the middle of it all stood Red, looking very dapper in a jet black suit. Blushing, I gingerly stepped towards him and carelessly flung my work bag on the couch.

Smiling brightly, Red offered his hand and led me towards our balcony which over looked the entire city scape, before getting down on one knee.

I gasped and clapped a hand to my mouth to stop a girlish scream escaping my lips.

"Look Classic, me and you have always been there for each other. Hell, it seems like only yesterday I had myself lodged in that snow poff," he said laughing quietly "anyway, the point is, from the moment I laid eyes on you I knew you were the one. I now that sounds Uber cheesy and stupid but it's true! And I want to make you mine and me yours officially. So, Classic...will you-"

"YESSS!" I said jumping on him before he even finished so that we landed In a heap on the floor. Beaming, Red carefully placed the ring on my finger and I pulled him into a kiss filled with love and happiness.

Several minutes later...

The legendary fartmaster: hey guys!guess what?

Goat mom: what????

Coolskeleton95: what is it brother?

Strongfish91: hurry up with it then punk!

The legendary fartmaster: I am now oFISHally...

Coolskeleton95: NO SANS

Goat mom: yes!

Coolskeleton95: do not encourage him!
