The apartment looked small but cozy. Bright red walls and small plants growing everywhere. He can say it definitely wasn't something he expected for Quinn to live. Neighbors were nice; small waves and smiles exchanged as they passed before he spotted her coming down a set of stairs.
Her trot down the steps halted when her eyes came to David and his white Tesla that he rested against. Her shoulders shook in quiet laughter as she made her way down the rest of the steps to David. "What?" He questioned, a smile of his own finding its way to his face.
Quinn shook her head and tried to cover her smile with her hand as she passed him, "I'm starting to believe Jason's hype over you."
He let out a sharp laugh, "This?" David patted the hood of his car. "I think everyone in LA has one of these."
Sliding into the passenger seat, Quinn rolled her eyes. "Oh sure. Totally."
The ride for the most part is quiet but David makes up for it by playing music; watching to see what songs make her perk up or hum along.
Once parked, he reaches behind him and hands her a bandanna. Quinn's eyebrows furrow together at the sight of the fabric, "What?"He held it more out to her, "Put it on. It's a surprise." Her expression is wary and thoughtful. "I swear it's just a small surprise for you."
Her eyes search his face, trying to find any lie in his expression. Seeming satisfied, she reluctantly took the bandanna and covered her eyes. "I know everything that's in my purse." She warned but that only made him laugh.
David watched her fingers tie the fabric behind her head before clutching her purse protectively, an amused smile breaking out. He wondered for a moment if he should take his camera to get her reaction on video but her tense shoulders made him decide against it.
Going to her side, David opened the door and helped her out; placing her hand on his shoulder to lead her into the store. "Okay. You ready?" He asked, excitement evident in his voice.
A nervous chuckle left Quinn's lips, "Sure."
Moving behind her, David untied the bandanna, snatching the fabric away from her eyes to let her vision clear. Blinking at her surroundings, Quinn felt her mouth go agape at the sight before her. "Oh my goodness." She whispered, immediately moving to the counter that displayed a variety of chocolate and it's forms; her mouth watered.
David bit his lip, amused and delighted that she eagerly moved to the different selections of chocolate. "So... what do you think?"
Quinn turned to him with bright eyes, "Are you kidding? I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me I was killed and I'm in heaven."
"Nice to know I'm in your heaven."
"Ah but you're the one thing that lets me know I'm not."
"Ouch." Erupting in laughter, the two brought the attention of a server who came with a platter of free samples. Quinn clutched her hands together and looked up through her lashes at the server.
"Thank you."
The server blushed a bright pink and nodded with a goofy smile. "Of course."
"If you don't mind, my friend and I have never been here, could we possibly get a tray of sample chocolates?" There's an innocent sound to her that made even David want to say yes.
The server is already nodding her head and promising to bring a tray to which ever table they select. Quinn chooses the one near the back with a window for a view. "So we're friends now?" David asked with a small grin.
Quinn chuckled, "Well if you keep surprising me like this, we just might be."
"Noted."
"So tell me," Quinn selects a dark square chocolate, breaking it in half and letting the raspberry filling ooze out. "would I like your videos?"
