It was well into the night with the sun peeking over the edge to welcome the morning. David clicked away on his laptop, finishing the final touches to his new vlog while his two friends, Natalie and Joe, lay passed out on his white cloud couch. Sighing through his nose, David rubbed his eyes with the heel of his palms before pressing play to the video once more.

A sleepy grin formed on his face as the clips played from his night a few days prior. It was ready. Uploading onto the site, he closed his laptop and stood from his spot on the beanbag, nudging Natalie awake.

She groaned and pushed away strays of brown hair, her eyes squinting up at him. "What?"

"I'm going to my room."

"Oh." Yawning, she glanced around her surroundings seeing an orange sky starting to take over and Joe snuggled into the other side of the couch. "Should we leave him here?"

David shrugged, "He'll be fine."

"Alright. Well, goodnight."

He nodded and trudged to his room, Natalie wrapping a blanket around her shoulders and padded to her own room down the hall. David felt as if his eyelids were shutting against his own will as he moved closer to his bed. It was then sleep engulfed him, his breathing evening out.

He vaguely remembered someone shaking his shoulder, him groaning for 5 more minutes and his bedroom door shutting. A cold and wet splash made for a rude awakening as David gasped and moved away from the water attack. Chuckles were heard from next to his bed and he dared to look at his assailant. "Jeff... what the fuck?"

The handsome tan man grinned broadly at his shocked and slightly irritated form, holding a bucket above him. "Woo! Let's go baby! Time to hit that trail!"

David pushed back his wet hair, getting a better view of Jeff and Todd, who was recording the whole encounter with his camera which he gave the middle finger to. "I didn't know that was today."

"Sure is! I gave you an extra hour to sleep in. Come on. It's a good way to start your day."

David fell back into his bed with a groan. "Holy shit."

David was tired and Jeff's peppiness was both irritating and motivational but not enough to stop David from hiding. He was fast when he needed to be and right now he wanted to go home and sleep. A mischievous grin made its way to his face as he ran away, taking different turns and jumping down small hills.

Glancing behind him, he saw no Jeff in sight but heard faintly his calls for him. He giggled to himself and jumped down another small hill that lead down another trail and he ran. Maybe he could Uber a ride home for Jeff when he leaves him. That's fair right?

Slowing to a jog, his shoulders puffed up in pride knowing he got away. His eyes glanced over to a woman doing toe touches, a nice view of her ass in her pink leggings as she bent over. Averting his eyes when she came back up but darting his gaze back to her face. "Quinn?" He breathed in shock before tripping over his feet and landing to the ground with a 'oof'.

A smile twitched at the corner of her lips as she watched him gather himself back up quickly while she hid her smile for the sake of his embarrassment. "Hey David." She greeted casually.

Clearing his throat, David ran a hand through his slightly sweaty hair, willing the heat in his cheeks to go away. "Hey, um... going for a run?"

Quinn lifted her right foot behind her, grabbing her ankle to hold it there. "Yeah, good way to start the day."

"So I've been told." He muttered, thinking of Jeff who he hoped gave up looking for him.

Switching legs, Quinn studying his form; the deep breathing and sweaty forehead with hair sticking to his skin. "What about you?"

"Yeah... I was just heading home unless um you wanted to run together?"

Quinn released her foot and gave him a teasing smile, "Oh, I don't know about that. Running alone with a boy i barely know in a mostly deserted trail? Hmmm."

He gave a chuckle, "Yeah, I understand." His shoe dug into the dirt while she watched him with her hands placed on her hips. "I mean we could always hang out later so we can get to know each other more."

Quinn's expression brightened as a small laugh escaped her, "Interesting offer but what would we be doing?"

"Give me your number and I'll let you know." His eyes held a playful look to his offer that made Quinn almost give.

"I'll have to think on that."

His tongue swiped across his lips, her answer earning a small groan from him internally. Okay, he'll bite. If she wants a chase, he'll chase.

"David!" Jeff's call made his eyes widen at the close proximity of his voice.

Quinn giggled at his horrified expression and gave a wave. "See you around, David." With that she turned and jogged her way down the trail, her light hair bouncing in its ponytail.

Running the other way he knew his car was, David raced away from a furious Jeff, who caught sight of him and his pale legs. "Yeah you better run Dobrik!"

"Alright, I'm gonna say this is some progress."

David rose his eyebrows while he buckled himself into his car. "Really?"

Jeff nodded and strapped himself in, the cool white leather seats felt amazing against his hot skin. "Yeah, we ran. A lot more than we needed to but again progress was made."

David threw his head back with a laugh, "Sorry." He said through breaths of laughter.

"Don't say sorry to me, say it to Nerf." Jeff motioned to the black french bulldog in his lap currently gazing at David.

He shook his head, biting his lip from releasing another burst of laughter. "How about I buy him some snacks on the way to my house?"

"Much appreciated." Jeff nodded, petting his dog's head while the sounds of his dog's panting filled the car. "Who was that girl you were talking to?"

David shrugged as he had no information on the girl besides her name. "This girl I meet at the club the other night."

Jeff nodded approvingly, "Alright. Getting some in finally?"

"It's not like that." Maneuvering his car through traffic, David tried to keep the topic light knowing the others have been pushing him to move on to other girls.

"Yeah, that's what they all say." The toned man settled back into his seat and turned his attention to his phone, his hand absentmindedly petting his dog.

David rolled his brown eyes, too tired to argue and let it die. He silently wondered how long till the rest of the group found out of the news, his thoughts racing to find an excuse because it was the last thing he needed.

I need to really go into depth when writing out the rough part of the whole thing you know? That didn't make too much sense but maybe some of you will know what I mean

But anyways thanks for reading! Tell me what you think and or vote!
