26- Part 1. Birthday

I walked over to them with shock on my face. I was shaking my head, they all had big grins on their face. See this is what happens when it’s my birthday. Once I was there, all of my friends hopped down from the table then giving me a hug, one person at a time. Tamika was the first one that gave me a hug,

“Happy birthday girly” she said while giving me a hug, I smiled at her.

“Thanks Tamika” I looked around the court to try and find Cameron, but couldn’t find him.

“Happy birthday!” Tenille said while squashing me in a big hug.

“Thank you” I said to her, he finally let go of me. I stood there for about ten minutes with everyone giving me hugs and telling me happy birthday. I was still looking for Cameron but couldn’t find him. Tamika and Tenille both gave me a small box and a big box each. I smiled at them and opened up Tenille’s one first.

I opened it and saw a charm bracelet with a little ice-cream, daisy, strawberry and an Eiffel tower.

“You can add more if you want” Tenille said while smiling at me. I smiled and nodded at her. Tamika came up to me to give me a big box and whispered in my ear,

“I would open it somewhere else if I were you” she winked at me.

“Umm… okay” I said back to her. I put the box in my bag. The bell finally went for first period. I waved to every one of my friends and said thank you again to them. Then I started walking away.

The day went super slow, but only because it’s Monday. Also I still haven’t seen Cameron anywhere. I wonder where he is. I had one more period left for the day, as I walked in, I heard whispers like,

“Oh my gosh, apparently that really hot Cameron guy has a girlfriend”

“No way!” he other one said.

“Way! He is away today with one of his mates to buy her a special gift! Like how sweet is that?” all the girls squealed. Cameron has a girlfriend? An instant frown went to my face.

“Gosh, I wish he was mine” the girl said. The whispering went on for a while until a door slammed open and a teacher walked in. The boring lesson starts.

Finally the bell went for last period and I packed my things, then ran for the door. My phones vibrated and I saw a text message from Tenille.

Message from Tenille, 4:01 pm

Hey girl, meet me in the toilets.

I sighed and quickly replied ‘okay’. I walked to the girl’s bathroom, opened the door and saw Tenille and Tamika talking. I smiled at them.

“Hey, what’s up?” I asked them. They looked at me like I grew another head.

“What’s up? Are you kidding me?!” Tamika said. Tenille gave me an apologetic smile.

“What…?” I asked Tamika.

“You remember! Like everything? Why aren’t you calling your aunt or telling anyone! Most importantly, why aren’t you telling Cameron?!” Tamika said to me. I shrugged my shoulders.

“Yes I remember everything. And no, I’m not calling my aunt yet. I will tell everyone but only a few at a time and when I’m ready. And… I am not telling Cameron” I frowned when I said his name.

“What?!” Tenille and Tamika said at the same time.

“You heard me. I am not telling him. I don’t think he wants to know anyway” I told them.

“What do you mean he doesn’t want to know?” Tenille asked.

“I went to class and I overheard a bunch of girl’s convo. They said he has a girlfriend and that he was away today because he is buying her a gift” I explained to them. They looked at me in shock then I saw sorry flash through their eyes.

“Oh… okay, well I’m sorry” Tamika said and hugged me, so did Tenille.

“Well we have to go and talk to the principle and ask him a question for something” they winked at me and walked out.  

I decided to go to sit on one of the park benches. I plugged in my ear phones and thought about stuff for a while. Should I tell Cameron about getting my memory back? Will he hate me more? Gosh I am such an idiot. He would never like me, maybe we had a thing a few years ago but now he has a girlfriend and I can’t do anything about it. Maybe I will find someone better? I put my ear phones away. As I was walking back to my dorm, I walked into a hard, warm chest. I looked up and met Cameron’s eyes.

Oh god.
