28- Part 3. birthday

Everything was fun for a whole week. Many surprises and fun. And now it was finally Friday. My actual birthday.

The day was the same like the whole week, everyone said happy birthday to me. I got a few presents. Now it was last period. When the period ended, I decided to look for Tenille.

"Hey, Rhiannon!" I heard Tenille yelling for me. I turned around and saw Tenille rushing up to me.

"Ready for tonight?" She asked.

"Yeah!" I said to her.

"Okay! Well, go back to your dorm, pack your bags and I will meet you out at the parking lot at five, don't be late" and with that she walked off. I walked back to my dorm, I found Cameron standing by my door.

"Hey, Cameron. What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Happy birthday!" He said and have me a hug. Woah! He hugged me. I felt tingles go through my body as he held my waist. I felt my heart banging against my chest. I haven't felt like this since I was with him years ago. It felt great to feel this. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. Cameron let go of me and I saw I smile on his face.

"Feel old, princess?" He winked at me. Now my heart completely stopped. I chuckled at his words,

"Princess? And no, not yet"

"Yeah, princess. Don't like it?" He asked.

"Could do better" I challenged him.

"Oh yeah?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Mhm"

"Well I will keep that in mind, babe"

I laughed at that. Even though I loved it when he called me 'babe'

"Your unbelievable" i said to him.

"And your cute" he said. I felt a blush come to my cheeks.

"So, I was wondering if you want to hang out tomorrow. Maybe for lunch?" He asked me.

"Is that a date?" I blurted out to him.

"If you want" he smirked.

"In your dreams" I shot back at him.

"Babe, I have lots of dreams about you"

I laughed out loud when he said that. "Right. So the date?"

"Yeah, want to?"

"You have to get down on one knee and you know, do the whole thing" I said to him. He looked at me confused, then he realised what to do. He got down on one knee and grabbed my hand. I felt the tingles shot through me again. But I ignored them.

"Rhiannon Hastings, will you go on a date with me?" He said looking at me with pleading eyes. I shook my head, smiling.

"Of course!" I said dramatically.

He stood up and kissed my cheek, "Pick you up at eleven tomorrow from your dorm" and he walked away.

I couldn't stop blushing when his lips connected to my skin. It felt amazing. I just wanted more. I walked into my dorm and quickly packed my bags. When the time was nearly five, I walked to the parking lot. I saw Tamika, Tenille, Jess and Indy by the car.

"Ready girl?" Tenille said. I nodded my excitedly then entered the car.

Web we finally arrived, the lake house was big! I got out the car with my bag and walked up to the door. All the other girls came after me. Tenille got the key out and unlocked the door. When we all went inside the house was modern and so pretty.

"Okay! There's six bedrooms. Four up stairs and two down stairs. Now go and choose your room and unpack" Tenille said shooing us off.

Tamika, I and probably Tenille have the upstairs room. Jess and Indy have downstairs. Tamika and I ran upstairs in a hurry. The stairs were on a slight curl. There was two bedrooms on each side. We entered one bedroom which looked like Tenille's one because there was already clothes and everything. I took the one next to that room. Tamika took the bedroom across the hall.

"Let's get packing!" I said to Tamika happily.

"Yay!" Tamika squealed.

Once we were all down stairs, finished packing, it was already seven o'clock at night. All of us were sitting around a fire.

"Hey, Rhiannon. Let's go" Tenille said to me.

"What? Where?" I asked.

"I want to show you something, that my father and I used to do" I sat up and walked to her.

"Yeah sure" I turned to the others, "are you girls coming too?" I asked them.

"I need to use the bathroom. I will meet you out there" Tamika said.

"I will cook dinner" Jess said.

"I will help with dinner" and Indy said. I nodded at them.

When Tenille and I were outside, it was freezing.

"Do you like the house?" Tenille asked me.

"Yeah, it's amazing" I said to her. The house was beautiful. It would of cost a fortune.

"This is it" Tenille said. I looked around, and saw a big lake, the moon was shining over the water. It was breathtaking.

"This is amazing" i whispered.

"Let's sit" she pointed to a few seats next to the water. When we say down, it was nice and quiet.

"This was me and my fathers things. Just sitting here, watching the moon, listening to animals." She said. I gave her a warm smile.

Twenty minutes went by, but it felt like hours.

"We should go back, maybe dinners ready" I nodded in agreement.

When we walked back to the house, it looked dark and quiet. Tenille and I stepped into the house.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" the lights switched on. There was hundreds of people from our school, drinks, balloons, loud music. It was amazing. I looked back at the people and one person caught my site, Cameron.

Hours went by. I had a few drinks, but I'm not drunk yet. I felt dizzy while I was dancing, so I went outside to take some air. I leaned over the balcony watching the lake. I heard footsteps behind me, and instantly looked. It was Cameron.

"Birthday girl not partying?" He asked, smirking. I smiled. Then lost my smile. Should I tell him? Ask him why he has come back to see me?

"Why? Why did you come, after all of those years?" I asked.

"What?" He asked looking scared.

"I-I remember everything. Why did you wait all of those years?" He just stood there, staring. He took a step forward.

"You remember?" He asked in a whisper. I nodded.

"I'm sorry. I just wasn't ready to see you. And I couldn't find you either. You moved away to college and I lost you" he said. He caressed my cheek with his hand. I didn't realise I started crying until he wiped a tear, and they all started coming out.

"I missed you" I managed to say. I crashed into him, giving him a hug. He responded immediately and wrapped his arms around me.

"I love you" he whispered.

"Me too" I said back, feeling happy again. I pulled away, looking up at him. He started to lean in, and so did I. Then he crashed his lips to mine. I felt tingles shoot everywhere in my body. I felt warmth and safe. Like I did a few years ago.

It felt like we kissed for hours. He finally pulled back, giving me a warm smile. And we hugged for the rest of the night.
