Who could the thief be? Aviva immediately thought of Ice Man. Angrily, she levitated through the air towards the couch, where Ice Man was gradually sitting up, rubbing his eyes. Without a word of warning, Aviva grabbed his shoulders and barked, "How dare you stole from me!"
"What are you talking about? Get away from me!" Ice Man tried to brush Aviva's hands away but the Half-Breed dug her nails, which had now turned into sharp talons, deeper into his flesh.
"Stop pretending! Hand over the Evolutionary Stone to me now!" Aviva roared.
To her surprise, Ice Man burst into eerie laughter. When he stopped laughing, he taunted, "Do you even have a brain? Would I still stay here if I stole from you?"
Aviva's jaw dropped; her grip loosened. Anxiously, she tapped the sides of her head with the back of her palms. Did I even have a brain? He's right. He won't stay here and let me capture--
Alolan Vulpix hopped in between them and waved its front paws frantically.
"What's it trying to say?" asked Ice Man, his expression turned serious.
"It said that the one that had stolen from itself is a Pokemon. Come!"
Aviva grabbed his hand but Ice Man let out a wail of pain all of a sudden.
Aviva stopped him from moving with a guilty look. "I've forgotten about it. My talons emit poison when I'm angry. One won't feel it if he doesn't move and will die a peaceful death after ten minutes. But once that victim has any slight movements, he'll be tormented until he dies."
"I don't need this damn introduction of yourself! Heal me!" he shouted; his spittle seeped into Aviva's skin. While Aviva remained unmoved, he shouted louder, "I command you to--"
"It's surprising that a man who's about to die could still possess such arrogance." Aviva folded her arms and smirked. "I won't heal you unless you apologize."
"You! You're so evil!" He raised a hand as if he wanted to slap Aviva but thought better of it. Without a hint, he pulled Aviva to him and grabbed her arms tightly. "Please, I can't die now, not until I open the-- I'm sorry, I can't reveal it but you can kill me once I succeed--"
"Enough!" Aviva raised her voice in order to muffle her heartbeats. "Remove your clothes. Quickly!"
Ice Man did as he was told.
Now, Aviva felt her heart stop beating and was melting like butter on a hot stove as she saw Ice Man's chest. His muscles bulged as he breathed heavily under the poison's effect. After much struggle, Aviva tore her eyes from his chest and focused on the punctures on his shoulders.
"The process is going to be a bit unhygienic but you must bear with me," she grabbed his shoulders as she warned. When Ice Man nodded, Aviva spat twice on the wounds. "Done!"
"Are you kidding--"
"Cover yourself up! The natural medical properties in my saliva will evaporate if you dilly-dally."
"I still think that you're trying to fool me." Ice Man glowered at Aviva as he dressed up.
"My saliva is the only remedy to my poison, idiot. Now, you've wasted a lot of my time." Aviva grabbed her backpack and ran out of the room with Alolan Vulpix in her embrace.
The imbecile Ice Man was still standing rooted to the floor, baffled by what had just happened.
Aviva didn't wait for him. As she bolted up the stairs, she applied the sunblock on her skin. The cook and the sailor were enjoying the free show as Raikou caught a dozen fish and landed them on the deck with its skills. Gyarados was nowhere to be seen. The human gasped at the sight of Aviva but she ignored them. With a kick of her toes, she leaped over the rail and coursed through the air. Not long after, she arrived at the site where her comrades camped at.
