"You need to hide." She whispers.
"What?"
"Like right now. In the closet." She pushes him out the bed quickly.
"He don't know I'm here?"
"No. I don't want him to meet my boyfriend while he's half naked in my bed. Come on." She moves him into her walk in closet and close it shut. She puts on her robe and goes to open the door to see her father standing in front of her.
"What do you want?"
"How about hi dad?"
"Hi dad, what do you want?"
"I came to check on you."
"You could've checked on me when I was in the hospital."
"You know I was out of the country."
"Right. I mean mom flew coach to see that her daughter was alive."
"Your mother also said that you came back with your friend from Atlanta."
"He's my boyfriend and yes he's here to watch over me while I recover."
"We have people here for that."
"Well you would know what my doctors recommended for me while I'm here wand that is for someone who I trust and knows my routine."
"Fine. Where is he? I want to meet with him?"
"He went to get us breakfast. How long you here for?"
"I'm only here for a meeting. I'm leaving tonight and wanted to have lunch with you, see that you're okay."
"What's the catch?"
"No catch."
"There's always a catch with you."
"I just want to spend some time with my daughter."
"Well I'm glad that I able to fit into your schedule."
"I'll be at the Waldorf at one. I hope to see you and your friend there."
He walks back into his office and Alex closes the door. She walks back to the closet and opens the door to find Derek standing there.
"Sorry I just didn't need the judgement lecture from him this morning."
"No I get it. He didn't sound like the most pleasent. How are you feeling?"
"I'm good. Just trying to keep myself calm. You don't have to go with me to see him"
"No, I told you I got you. Even when it comes to your dad."
"Thank you." She hugs him and he kisses the top of his head.
"Maybe the crash is a wake up call for him. Maybe he wanna change?"
"That's unlikely."
"You never know. You still wanna get breakfast?"
"I was thinking about continuing what we were doing earlier before we go."
"What about your dad?"
"He ca't hear us in here." She says as she pushes him in the closet.
"Okay." He mumbles against her lips and she closes the door behind them.

They walk hand in hand together in the reasteraunt and had glasses on them as the press was camped outside. They walk in and go into the reasteraunt area of the hotel. She sees her father sitting at the table with some guy in a suit. She thought it was one of his buisness partners. It wouldn't surprise her if it's just him doing two appointments at once.
"There's my girl." He stands up and kisses her cheek, something he never does.
"Hi. Who is this guy?"
"Stan Howard, New York Times." He stands up and shakes her hand.
"The Times?"
"Your father didn't tell you about the interview?"
"You have got to be kidding me."
"Alexandra just sit down and speak with him."
"You wanted to use my plane crash to get your name in the paper. You know what you can't write about how he didn't even come to see his daughter in the hospital."
"Alexandra calm down."
"No I'm not going to let you manipulate me. I'm leaving." She walks out of the reasteraunt and goes back into the car. Derek followed behind her and sits next to her.
"I shouldn't be surprised but I'm so pissed off right now."
"Just breathe. What you wanna go?"
"I just wanna go back to the loft."

They walk back into the loft and Alex flops on the bed. Derek takes off his jacket and sits down next to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
"You okay?"
"Yeah I just thought for a second he had changed but it's still the same crap from before."
"I'm sorry babe."
"I just want to be in a bubble away from cameras and reporters. I just want to hide."
"Don't let them or your dad keep you from living. This is your life and you get to make the decisions now. So what do you want to do?"
"I wanna tell my story. Can you give me your phone?"
"Yeah why?" He says as he hands it to her.
"I'm taking control of my life." She dials a number on the phone. "Hi, is this Kira? Yes it's Ms. Crane. I'd like to come in for that interview."
"Who you meeting with?" He asks.
"Good Morning America." She whispers over the phone.
