Yesterday

Yesterday I was confused

I didn't know what tomorrow would bring

I was afraid to see what God had planned

I wanted answers then , cause it didn't make sense

But today all the confusion from yesterday perfectly blends

Yesterday was rough , I thought maybe I would die

Or they would definitely come pick me up , believing all of my mothers lies

But today I'm here as healthy as can be

Yesterday I thought I was caught , but they are still on the search for me

Each yesterday that passes is a new testimony

And the words I spill on the pages flow like the choir in harmony

Yesterday I thought I was in love but today I hate

I thought I needed to tell you everything before it was too late

Yesterday passed , I didn't say a word

Today you're here through everything that has occurred

Yesterday you were my rider together we shined like a star

And the yesterday after that , it was time to ride and you weren't in the car

The moral to all the yesterday's you've faced

Is to keep moving forward , you'll soon be able to smile at all you've displayed

Cause the yesterday coming is gonna be a brighter day .
