Chapter 5

Masato's POV

Kainis talaga. Hindi naman talaga ganon ang dapat kong sasabihin. Iba yun. Nagalit tuloy sa akin. Gusto ko siyang yakapin ng makita ko siya kanina. Gusto kong sabihin sa kanya na sorry sa lahat ng sinasabi ko.
I was dumb. I was crazy.
Humiga ako sa kama ko. I need to regain my strength and do something better next time.

"Suri-san,please look for Yuan. I need her whereabouts right now."
" Sir, she will go back to the Philippines tonight."
"What?"
" yes sir,"
" ahh okay."
" we will not do something sir?"
" not now."

I ended the call.
I have to take care first of my knee.

"Suri,please prepare the presentation for tomorrow. "

"Yes sir"

Kailangan ko munang ayusin ang sarili ko bago ko siya harapin.

Yuan's POV
Nasa airport na ako at ready na para sa flight na iyon. I searched his name in google. Immediately, his face appeared in the box. He's very handsome. His eyes is sparkling. His lashes accentuates his eyes.
I caressed his face on the screen.
" Be healthy."

Maya-maya lang ay tinawag na ang number ng flight ko.
Tumayo na ako. Papasok na ako sa eroplano.

It's 4 hours flight from Japan to the Philippines. Halos gising ako sa buong byahe.

Dumiretso ako sa school ko. Pagkarating ko ay dumiretso agad ako sa opisina ko.
" Ma'am, we have new students from Taiwan. "
Tumango lang ako.
"Did Emily call when I was not here?"
" no ma'am. "
" okay. Did Lee come here?"
" no ma'am. She is in Korea for conference. "
We made the school. It's our ultimate dream to build a language school in  the Philippines.
" okay."
" are you okay ma'am?"
"I'm fine."

I keep myself busy  so that I forget time.

Lumipas ang ilang araw ay unti- unting nawawala sa isipan ko ang pangalan niya.  My usual life came back again.
" Yuan,do you still go home?"
Emily arrived that morning after her vacation from Guam with her husband.
" yeah. We are very busy this month. It's golden week in Japan. Many students will come."
" take a rest. Your assistant told me that after you came back from Japan ,you never take a rest. Are you hiding something,Yuan?"
" No."
" Yuan,I'm your friend. You should tell me."
" I will."
" then tell me now."
" Don't worry. Everything is fine."
Pumasok ang assistant niya.
" Ma'am, we have a little problem. We have a student requesting for your teaching."
" who?"
" Masato Watanabe!"
" what?"
" Who is Masato Watanabe?". Emily asked to my assistant.
" He is the CEO of Healthy United Enterprises ,ma'am. "
"Ahh..okay granted. He is a CEO so we need a high caliber teacher."
" No. Don't accept him. If he wants to study in our school,anybody can be his teacher. Our teachers are qualified to teach even if CEO or Prime Minister."
"Ma'am, he will double the price."
" still no."
" have you meet this man Yuan?"
" no."
" Yuan,it's a customer. If you do that, our other customers will go away."
"No.You teach him."
Iniwan ko silang dalawa sa opisina ko. Bakit pa siya pumunta dito? Kainis. Ginawa ko na nga ang lahat para makalimutan ang lintik na lalaking yun.

Kumuha ako ng tubig para uminom.
" Yuan,do you and Mr. Watanabe something happened in Japan?"
" please Emily,spare me with your questions."
" I won't stop until you will tell me everything. "
" nothing happened so stop."
Natahimik ang kaibigan ko ng makita niyang napagod na ako.
" Teach him so that you can prove to me that nothing happened. "
" okay."
Napangiti ang kaibigan ko.
" Mr. Watanabe is a catch. You can seduce him so that you can get married."
" are you crazy?"
" yes, he is handsome. He is rich. He owns a company and a hotel."
"Whatever."
" I'm sure you'll swoon when he comes here. You know what, your school will become famous in an instant because of him."
" I don't. "
" Yuan,you don't have any plan to get married? You're 29. You're not young. Every woman dreams to be a bride."
" I am too but not him."
" really?"
" yes."
" are you angry with him?"
" yes!ahh no!"
" tsk ...you met him already right?"
" ahhgrr..Emily..stop it."
Umalis na ako at bumalik sa trabaho.

It's been six months already and I'm sure his knee already fine.
I searched him in google.
Why is it every time I searched his name,his face is getting clearer and clearer in my mind.
" you disturbed me!"
Mabilis kong ini-exit ang site nang pumasok si Lee.
" hi."
" how was the conference?"
" it's good. I'm promoting our school. We need a lot of teachers. We will always be very busy this year."
" why?"
" I invited students to study English in our school!"
" really?"
"Yes!!!"
We are getting richer and richer. Napangiti ako.
"How are you?"
" I'm fine"
" Emily said you're in love to a famous business in Japan."
" what?"
Natawa ang kaibigan ko.
" kainis talaga ang babaeng yan."
" you should get married as soon as possible."
" so how was the baby?"
" she's fine. "
" she? Really? It's a girl."
"Yes dear. "
Napangiti ako. Oo nga pala ako na lang ang natirang single sa grupo namin. Si Cherry na isang IT ay may asawa na rin. Masaya na rin ito sa piling ng kanilang adopted child.
"Labas tayo mamaya."
" Oo pag matapos ko na ang report."
" mamaya mo na tapusin."
Inirapan ko ang kaibigan ko. Anong mamaya tatapusin ko talaga ito.

"Let's go"
Napatingin ako sa kanila.
" You go. I don't want to come."
"Okay next time."

Napangiti ako.

Days passed so fast.
"Are the program ready?"wika ni Emily sa mga teachers.
" yes ma'am. "
I am still in my office. Kinakabahan ako.
" Yuan,the program will start after 5minutes."
Lee got inside.
" You're beautiful today."
"Crazy."
" let's go now."
Lumabas na sila. All the students were already in their respective seats.
My eyes were looking for someone. Then,it stopped to the man on the last seat. He was wearing a black shirt and a white jeans.
His hair that I combed it before was perfectly combed. He was very focused on the presentation.
" To officially start,may I recognized the presence of our Marketing Head, Lee Kim,the Student Welfare Manager, Emily Matsuda,and to our Chief Executive Officer, Yuan Julyenne Chavez. My coteachers,our dear students,welcome to this  Orientation Program here in Three Stars Language School.

Everybody clapped their hands.
A presentation of the guidelines were flashed on the screen.

After the program,nagsimula na ang Diagnostic Test nila.
"Do I need to take the test?"
Napalingon ako dito. He was there in my back for real.
"What do you think?"
" I think I didn't. I'm already good at speaking the language."
"Okay,you can go back to Japan."
"Yuan, I'm sorry."
" why are you here?"
" for you."
"You take the test just like other students. They will think that I favor someone else."
" fine. Let's have a deal. If I get perfect score, you will forgive me."
"Fine."
He left and went to the testing area.
I went back to my office.
" You seemed to be very closed to each other,good friend."
" no."
" You're perfect for each other."
"No"
