Chapter 16~~Final

Julyenne's POV

"Maki,what are you doing this time?" I shouted when I read the letter from his school. He is in fifth grade. I just arrived home that night and of course my school is getting bigger so a lot of work piled in my table.
"I am considered as one of the best educator in this country but I couldn't teach well my son." I murmured and Masato came into our room.
"What?" He said. He lay down in the bed and looked at me while laughing.
"Look at your son,we are  summoned again in his school. Argghh, this time I'm already embarrassed."
"The last time you went to his school is all about his classmate. Making love letters for them but those aren't good so the kids complain. Now,what do you think  it is another complain?" He said.
"I don't know. What if you'll be the one to go there?"
I crumpled the letter and went out. I saw my son watching Netflix with a book in his hands.
I sat next to him. He looked at me. I smiled at him.
"Mommy,are you angry?"
I hugged him. He acquired his good looks from his father but his personality comes from me. He has temper too but he can control. He is not that bully kid.
"Do you have problem ?"
He looked at me. He shook his head.
"No. I miss you mom." He said.
"Why?"
"You are very busy so I hardly see you. Every breakfast and dinner only. Can I sleep with you and dad?"
I smiled.
"Not until if you tell me,why am I going to your school."
"Nah,it is a surprise. I'll get my pillow mom and I'll go to your room." He stood up and went to his room.
Yahhhhh!!Surprise?? I'm going crazy!
He went to our room and lie down next to his dad.
I remembered it was his dad's birthday. I thought I couldn't give him a child but after we got married the next week I feel something on my body. Everyday we fought and argued to many things about the school and our lives.
Masato is one of the best person I met. He is kind and responsible. He never changed until this day.
"What are you doing here Maki?" He turned to his dad. The kid smiled and hugged him.
"Why?am I not allowed here?Mom said it is okay. "
"Why is it  I and your mom are summoned to your school.? She is now frustrated. Did you do something again?"
"Nothing. Why do you always think bad about me?Tsk,I'm not sure if you're my parents."
"Maki,it's not we think about you so badly but we are just worried. Can you study without making any ruckus at school?"
"Daddy naman eh! I did not do anything this time. My teacher just gave me that letter without saying anything."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. Do you know that I rank first in our mathematics class?"
"Really?"
"Yes. They are so jealous. "
I lie down next to them.
I remained silent and just keep on listening at their conversation.
"Mommy,I'm sorry."
"Hmm. It's okay."
"Mommy,don't be angry. I didn't do anything today. I'm very good at school. " he hugged me tightly.
"Okay. I believe you. I'll go to your school tomorrow confidently."
"That's great." Maki exclaimed.
"I'll go with you hon." Masato added.
"Really? Really dad?"
"Hmm. I'm free in the morning. So I'll go with your mom."
"Yeheeyyy!!!"
"Why are you so happy?"
"Of course. You are the best parents! I will have good morning tomorrow."
"Good night guys."
"Good night mom. Good night dad."
Masato got up and turned off the lampshade. He put the blanket well and kissed us good night.
It was really great.

I heard them shouting outside.
"Daddy,where's mom?I'm almost late."
I got up and immediately went to shower and fixed my hair. I put light make up and went out.
"I'll have my breakfast in school."
I said to them. Maki is wearing his school uniform. He looks good on it. While Masato is wearing his business suit.
"Good morning"
"Mommy,I'm almost late."
I got in the car and we drove off to his school. Why is it he is so excited? Oh this kid is weird.
I called Lee.
"Good morning,good friend."
"Lee,please tell Christilyn to prepare my papers for the meeting. I need it today. I'll be a little late today. I have to go to Maki's school."
"Okay I got it friend."
"Bye,Lee."
We arrived just in time. There are a lot of parents in his school.
"What's the occasion,honey?" I asked my husband who is now standing beside me.
"Mom,dad,it's family day today." He smiled at us and hugged us.
"What?"
"What?"
"Why?"
"I'm wearing this."
"It's okay. Mom. You are beautiful in that dress. You look powerful. I'm sure they will look at us today. "
"Do you want to become famous son?" Masato said.
Our kid smiled playfully.
"Honey,I'm not good at games." I told him. He held my hand tightly.
"Me too. I'm not good at dancing or even singing. This is our first time to attend family day right?"
I nodded my head. We always let Maki went to vacation with us so that he couldn't attend family day. And now,my son is wiser than us. He dragged us to this damn family day.
"Come,let's get inside." We went inside. His teacher talked to us.
"I'm very happy,you both attend in this family day,Mrs. Watanabe. This will make him happy." The principal said.
"Yeah,we don't know at first."
We both laughed of what Maki did to us. He got his shirt and brought our shirts too.
"Dad,please wear this."
I called Christilyn to get me jeans and sneakers.  She can get inside in our house since we trust her.
I looked around.
We sat down both on the chairs for us. All students were at their parents. I looked at Maki. He is very happy this time.
"Good morning,Holy Jesus Academy. Welcome to our annual Family day."
My assistant approached us.
"Ms. Yuan,here's the clothes you asked."
"Oh,can you go with me in the toilet?"
"Sure miss."
As we went to the toilet,the host started the games. I'm sure Maki and his dad will stay on their chairs.
I changed my clothes and my shoes.
"Please tell them I can't come today. " I told her.
"I'll tell them. Miss. Enjoy your day."
"Thank you."
I went back to our place with the shirt for that event. I'm looking around. I couldn't see them on their seat. Where are they?
Then I saw them on the field playing. I watched them. Maki is really laughing while his dad is struggling.
When it is done,they went back to our seats. I gave them the towel.
"I'm tired. How old I am honey?" I laughed.
"Very old. "
I wiped their sweat with the towel. Without them,I would never be happy like this. My life would be boring and uninteresting. Maybe I continue to be a hot tempered woman since I couldn't marry someone else.
But now,I am glad to choose this path. Long time ago,I am hesitant to fall in love with him. I feel it is impossible for me to love him and be loved by him. But it is possible. It is possible that love will bind us together.
We can rewrite the stars anyway. With all the ways we have,all things in love are possible to happen. Just keep holding on and it will come to you in the right time and in the right place. When things are going to the south,you can have alternative because there are west,east and north. You can go back and forth. Side by side and upside down as long as you are sure that if you change the way,you can accept the possibility. Life is scary from the very start,but if you are willing to face it,no matter how hard,it will be a great endeavor for you.
"Mommy,come,we need to sing a song."
"What?"Masato was a little nervous looking at me. I hugged him and planted a kiss on his cheek.
" I'm a singer. Don't worry."
"Really? I don't know that."
We walked to the stage and everyone is looking at us.
I got the microphone and instructed the music staff to play the song we have to sing.

Since Maki and Masato didn't know how to sing,they just stood in front and listened to me.

I finished the song with a loud applause from everyone. Masato and Maki climbed up on the stage and hugged me. They are my inspiration to live and to be happy everyday.
"That was beautiful." Masato said after kissing my cheeks.
"Mommy,can you sing a lullaby for me every night?"
"Thank you"
I hugged them tightly.
"I love you" They both said with a big hug.
"I love you. "
