My Best friend Jackie just had his 13th birthday! I LOVE going to his place and sniffing his nose till he gets irritated and runs away from me!
But ever dince his birthday, these humans are treating him differently. They always keep saying things like "Oh! He is 13" or "He doesnt have much time left, make the most of it" or just give pity looks when we are playing.
I JUST do not understand this logic.
Even though I am 5 months old and he is 13 years old, we still play togather, and that is enough for us, then why is it not enough for them?
Why dont humans understand that you do not stop playing, because you get old..you get old BECAUSE you stop playing!
Everyone has to die one day or other, why waste time worring over death, when it could be spent playing and living?
I am sure when Jakie's time will come, he would much rather go happily with his favourite humans smilling and loving him (not to mention his MOST irritating neighbour..ME!)
So, I am writing this post on Jakie's behalf, that please STOP obsessing about our age. We do NOT need pity, age does not matter to us at all (Except when it slows us down a little). But other than that, all we need is lots of love and kisses and hugs and smiley faces around us and this holds true for a 1 month old pup or a 13 year old DOG.
