Lunch

You both ended up falling asleep and staying that way until the next day.Mello had knocked on the door waking you both up. "Not to bother you two or anything, but she has class and you have surveillance" he muttered as you heard a snap of a chocolate bar behind the door. You looked at the clock and seen it said 8:05 "shit! Inn late I have to meet Mina, she wanted to shop before class!" You yelled as you jumped up,threw clothes on and ran out the door to hail a cab. You finally made it to the shopping center to see her standing outside waiting "you're late." She said with a smile "I overslept im sorry." You replied with an apologetic bow. "It's fine, we still have an hour left. So let's get to it!"she said cheerfully and grabbed your arm pulling you. You both ran around the mall non-stop for the whole hour and were then late to class. "Sorry we're late, traffic" Mina said with a  innocent smile to which you nodded in agreement. You both took your seats and listened to the lecture reluctantly on your part. While you took false notes your phone vibrated twice and read 'two new messages'. One was from L and the other from Mina. "Want to come over after class? My mom makes killer potstickers and chow mein." Was what Mina had sent "pick up cake on the way home" was what L had sent. You responded to L first "she wants me to come over for lunch with her family." And you received a response immediately "do it. Bring cake after." Was all he said. You text Mina back with your response "yes let's do it, I love chow mein". To which she smiled. After class you both began walking to get house which wasn't very far.   Mina walked up the doorsteps and opened the front door with her keys. She walked in first and you followed right behind her. "MOM! I brought company.." she yelled throughout the large house "in here honey!" Her mom replied from another room which you found out was the kitchen. She was already making an enormous lunch "why such a large meal?" Mina asked curiously "your father will be home for lunch today as well as your brother and I noticed you brought a guest as well " she said with a smile towards you. You bowed politely "you have a lovely home Mrs Surichido" you replied with the bow. "Thank you. Please,have a seat while we prepare the table". The mother and daughter left the room briefly to bring food back to the table,it was just then you heard the front door open and the father walked in.  "Hi honey,glad you're home." The mother replied with a kiss to his cheek and mina replied with only a hug and smile. Moments later the brother came in,and noticed you with a blush "this is my friend from school (Y/N) , this is my dad Lee Surichido and my brother Asama." Mina politely introduced her family "pleasure to meet you all" you said as you took your seat. Her mother served the lunch as the rest of the family took their seats. "How's work going today sweetheart?" Minas mother asked her husband "it's been good,very busy." Was all he said. The brother was very quiet the whole meal then went straight to his room. "Well this was nice but I have to be going, I promised my mom ice cream after class,she wanted some pretty bad. See you in class next week." You said before walking home. As you were walking, Watari pulled up beside you "would you like a ride Mrs?" Yup which you nodded gladly and got in. You finally arrived at the hotel "shit I forgot the ice cream" you muttered. "No need to worry,I got it." Watari said as he opened the door for you to get out. You went up to the room and seen L waiting for you at the door. "I've missed you." He said with light kiss to your lips. You smiled feeling the comfort. "So tell me... How was it?" L asked.
