The Next Day
"Are you sure you can last three days without me?" You teased L "I'll manage, take this other phone I have set up specifically for talking with me." he said handing you a basic flip phone with two buttons, a call and an end call button. "I've disabled every other option on that phone so no one knows who is calling and no texts will be sent." He leaned forward and gave you a kiss. "Let's head back to our room." you nodded to his request. When you both walked in Near and Mello were watching the monitors and Watari was in the kitchen cooking breakfast. " Anything interesting happen?" Your husband asked The two. They both responded by shaking their heads and continuing to watch the screens. You walked into the kitchen to see Watari "hi here, what are you making?" You looked over his shoulder "pancakes, eggs, sausage. "He responded continuing to cook the pancakes. "Sounds delicious" you responded grabbing orange juice and taking a swig. "Miss, I've already packed a bag for your next three days. Hopefully I packed it satisfactorily and didn't forget anything." You nodded and walked out "I guess I'm ready to leave over there.." you said to the guys. L looked up at you slightly sad before kissing your lips gently " be careful my love" was all L said.
