Okay, so here we go! Again, it's going to be slow moving at first, but will get better as the chapters continue.
Also, I'm most excited to write part two, so I think it's going to be good!
"I don't understand how the kids will be able to get into a Rolling Stones concert by themselves. They're twelve! And they don't look any older!"
"Eddie, they're not actually going to the concert, it's just to move storyline along,"
"Yeah, but it would never happen. Besides, I doubt that Buttermaker would ever let Amanda go out with that rotten kid,"
Lydia chuckled at her boyfriend's rant. The pair was watching The Bad News Bears and Eddie was obviously more focused on, and distraught about the unrealistic, unbelievable storyline of two twelve year olds heading to a Rolling Stones concert, than the actual movie itself. The girl however, was only trying to watch the movie without the man's comments. Though she somehow knew that wasn't possible.
"Oh, who cares?" Lydia asked. "This movie is about a little league baseball team, not The Rolling Stones."
"I guess you're right," Eddie admitted. "Hey, maybe at the end, Buttermaker can take the entire time to a Stones concert to cheer them up after they've lost the championship!"
"Hey, spoiler!" Lydia hissed jokingly, making Eddie cackle. "Besides, that's a really weird and stupid theory."
The girl smiled while Eddie continued to laugh, for she rested her head on his chest, and could feel his heartbeat increase happily. Eddie ran his fingers through Lydia's hair while the two watched the movie, and would kiss the top of her head periodically. This was what she enjoyed the most; the comfort of his touch. She loved to be with him, and be around him, for it was what made her feel the best.
"We've seen this like twenty times, how is that a spoiler?" He managed to ask after his hysterical-fit was over.
"The twenty-first time I'm watching it is now spoiled, thank you very much," Lydia looked up at Eddie and grinned as he returned the favor.
"Alright, I won't say anything else about it,"
"Good."
This was the way the couple's nights had been going for the past couple of weeks now; ever since they had gotten together. They would find a movie, good or bad playing on television, and would devote two hours or so of their lives to finish it. And although Eddie wasn't one that loved to be touched, he would always invite Lydia to wrap her arms around him, and be intertwined with another.
Sooner or later, one of the two would fall asleep and the movie would end. But in the meantime, all they needed was to talk and have each other.
"I'm going to miss this when you go away," Lydia thought out loud, Eddie kissing the top of her head yet again.
"But I'm going to miss you when you go away for three days next week," Eddie referred to another 'business trip' for her job, this time going to meet Fleetwood Mac and discuss their new album, Rumors, which to Lydia's understanding had become a huge success. The band was playing in LA, just like Led Zeppelin had been, so Lydia was assigned to interview them after their concert. Routine as normal, but Eddie still couldn't seem to get over the fact that his now lover would have to leave.
"Eddie, it's really not that big of a deal. This is how it's always been," Lydia said and rolled her eyes. "Besides, pretty soon, you're going to be away for longer than three days. And I'll be the one who has to deal with that." A lump formed in her throat as she mentioned the idea.
