I turned off my phone and plugged it up, setting it on the nightstand. I left my room and closed the door behind me, running downstairs and into the living room. I was still in my cheerleaders uniform.
"Woah! Look at you." Jake cheered, smiling at me. I smiled back and him and plopped on the couch beside Andy.
"Uhh. Elle?" My dad pointed at my skirt. "Don't you think that's a little too short, babygirl?"
"Dad, it's a cheerleading uniform. It's supposed to be like that." I whined, crossing my legs.
Andy looked at me and then at the skirt. "Stand." I glared at him and he glared back. I groaned and stood up. "Spin." Again, i comply, doing as told.
"Yeah..." My dad stretched his words. "No." He said simply.
"But dad! You were the one who told me to try out in the first place." I pointed at him.
"Actually, that was your brother. I just agreed." He nodded at me, reaching over to the coffee table to grab the tv remote.
"Dad!" I groaned. "Please, I'm actually excited about this. The coach made me co captain."
My dad looked at me and sighed. "Come here." He moved so he sat upright on the sofa and patted the empty space. I walked over and sat down. "If it means this much to you, then fine. BUT, if I find out someone touc–"
"They won't. I won't let them."
He smiled and pulled me into him so we could cuddle.
