Elle's POV
For the past few weeks or so, Stacie had been staying overnight. Meaning, I ate dinner with her, woke up to her loud mouth in the mornings. She was even there for our quality family time. And need I mention, things have actually gotten worse between the both of us. Any chance she got; which was whenever my dad or brothers weren't around; she somehow bullied me.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like her as much as she doesn't like me. And I most certainly had my reasons for my distaste towards her. At the beginning, admittedly, I was just upset that my dad was welcoming a new woman into our family, and I know for sure that i would've warmed up to her eventually once we found some common ground and had time to bond. But now? She's soiled it. There's no bonding
or anything of that sort. That bridge is burned. Her attitude toward me is completely uncalled for. Like.. I really just do not understand what on Earth I could've possibly done to tick Stacie off.I groaned in frustration as I gelled down my hair. I fought to put the curly mane into a ponytail. There was a knock at my door and I looked over to it just as it opened up to reveal Jake. "Good morning." He greeted as he smirked amusedly at the sight of me fighting with my hair.
"What's up?"
"Are you almost ready? Because if we don't leave now, you're gonna be late."
I looked at myself in the mirror, my hair just barely acceptable for me to be seen in public. Too overstimulated to continue fighting any further, I excepted the mediocre high pony, which was more like a puff, and nodded at Jake. I got up and slipped on my sneakers and followed behind him as he lead the way out the door. "Bye, Elle!" My dad called out as I left.
.
"Blah blah blah!" Was all I heard from Mister Schuester as he spoke to us during glee club rehearsal. Sectionals is totally gonna go by like a breeze. I know the girls versus boys competition was supposed to get us out of that mindset, but I for one was not too worried about our competition.
"Is there anything...any type of music in particular you wanna do?" Is something Mister Schue said that actually caught my attention. I looked up from my guitar.
"Can we maybe try something a little more, black?" Mercedes asked, looking at me with hopeful eyes. I nodded in agreement.
"I agree. We do an awful lot of show-tunes." Kurt rose an eyebrow.
"It's glee club, not krunk-club." Rachel spat.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I snapped back, giving her the most disgusted face I've ever given anyone.
"Don't make me take you to the carpet." Mercedes turned to her.
"Fantastic." Mister Schue pointed. "Thank you Mercedes, Kurt, Elle. Noted. Anything else?" He questioned.
