My Sweet Captain a Steve Rogers love story, Book 2

Chapter 21

        We broke into Shield's headquarters and found a room and activated the mic. I nodded to Steve. He smiled and I kissed his cheek. "good luck." I said.

        "Attention all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, this is Steve Rogers. You're heard a lot about me over the last few days. Some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time to tell the truth. S.H.I.E.L.D. is not what we thought it was. It's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The S.T.R.I.K.E. and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want. Absolute control. They shot Nick Fury. And it won't end there. If you launch those helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way. Unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot. But the price of freedom is high. It always has been. And it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not." Steve said. 

        "Did you write that down first, or was it off the top off your head?" Sam asked, I rolled my eyes. 

       We made out way out, then Steve pulled me to a slightly abandoned hallway. "Are you sure I can't convinve you to not do this?" He asked.

        I smiled at him putting my hand on his cheek. He leaned into me, as if it would give him strength. "I love you. I will not leave you ever, so don't try to make me." I said.

        He laughed and kissed me gently. "Come on love birds we've got to go." Bell said

       I laughed as we ran off getting onto the roof as the helecarriers launched. The plan was for Steve and I to work together and for Sam and Bell to work together. We would each take out one ship, and then we would work together on the last one. "Hey, Cap, how do we know the good guys from the bad guys?" Sam asked. 

        "If they're shooting at you, they're bad." Steve said. Then it began. Steve and I ran and dodged and jumped over things, slid under things. It was chaos. We were nearing the edge and then we jumped, we landed hard on top of one of the carriers. and then we ran to the bridge.

        It didn't take us to long, but we made it. Steve fought of the men as I opened the panel and put in the chip. One down, two more to go. 

        "Eight minutes, Cap" I heard Maria say.  

         Steve and I ran outside. "Falcon, where are you?" Steve asked looking around, he's our ride. 

        "He made a detour." Bell said. 

          Then we were being fired upon again. We ran for it, then we were right by the edge. "Sam, need a ride. Now!" I said.

        "I'm coming just hold on for a minute. Tell me when you need me." He replied. 

            "Now!" Steve said as we jumped. 

        He held onto me as we fell. Then I felt Sam grab us and we dropped a few feet more before we levelled out. "You put a few pounds on you!" He said. 

        "I ate a good breakfast." Steve said. 

          Then Bucky came out of nowhere and grabbed one of Sam's wing. "Steve!" I shouted as I fell. 

          Steve grabbed me just in time and carried my up. We landed on the deck and looked around. "Steve, Lady, are you okay?" Bell asked. 

        "We're fine. We just got on the carrier." I said as Steve fought threw more men. 

        "Where are you?" I asked. 

        "On the ground, I can not fly. Repeat, I'm grounded." Sam said. "I'm sorry, guys."
