A little while later, Nick came back to the room. This hospital is strange. You have to stay in your room until you have gotten your release forms filled, signed and in your hand. Then you have to do a quick, crazy dance to leave. Or, in our case, go to visit my mother.

After doing a recreation of the chicken dance that was a hell of a lot stranger. I was doing flips and shit. Eventually a nurse told me flips were probably bad for me. I made a face after she turned around to check out a different dance. Nick waz laughing the whole time which made me feel better that he was not booing.

We left and went to a random  reception desk that we found. There was a pretty lady sitting behind it. She was wearing a simple green shirt with a cream scarf. It looked cute and I am now wishing I had thought to grab a new outfit before I ran out the door of my house yesterday. I am still wearing my blue jeans and hot pink, long sleeved shirt. "Hello." I say and the lady looks up.

"Hello. How may I help you?" She asks and flashes us a smile.

"Well... I was wondering what room my mother is staying in."

"Ah. You came to the right place. What is your mother's name, doll?"

Ugh. I shiver at the name. Nicknames can be so horrible. "My mother's name is Heather Freeman."

"Ok." The nice lady looks at her computer and types in the name. Heather Freeman she punches in. "Heather is in room 257A on floor number two."

"Thank you." I say and Nick nods his head in agreement.

"You are very welcome." She says and looks down at the computer again. I rush off, pulling Nick behind me.
