We got into Waffle House. We were the only customers in there meaning we could talk. "Hello. Would you like to order drinks or do you need a moment?" our waitress asked as we slid into a booth. "We need a minute thanks." Mikey said even though I was ready to order. "So.." I began. The awkward silence was too much for me. "We kissed." He pointed out. "No shit, Sherlock." I answered making him giggle even though he tried looking annoyed. Jesus motherfucking Christ he's cute. "Questions, comments, or concerns?" I asked trying to start a conversation. The dork raised his hand. I rolled my eyes but couldn't stop laughing. "Yes, Michael?" He winked at me. "Well question-how do you feel about me, comment-never ever call me Michael again and concern- what now?" he said looking pretty proud of himself but I could also see the nervous look in his eyes. "I think I might like you, dully noted, and who the hell knows?" I said. "Ready to order?" the waitress asked interrupting our conversation. "Two coffees." Mikey said simply, clearly wanting her to leave. "So um-" I started to speak. "We should go on a date." he says cutting me off. This shocked me. He was so straightforward and calm about it. Emotions have never been a good area for me so I pushed them away. When I said I think I might like him, it was a big deal. I have problems feeling. Whether it be sad, happy, angry, scared, whatever, I just didn't really feel anything. What the fuck do I do? "We don't have to. Just a suggestion." Mikey said obviously still playing it cool. I can't do this forever. Sooner or later I'm going to have to break down these walls. I'm going to have to let someone in eventually. I cannot keep being scared. But at the same time, I need to play it cool too. He cannot see me as weak or vulnerable. Not now. "Let's see how tonight goes. Then I'll decide what I think about you taking me on a proper date." I say in attempt to compromise. He smirks. "I'll take that as a yes." I rolled my eyes playfully. "I said maybe." then added a wink for extra affect. "You couldn't resist me if you tried." he claimed leaning back against the booth. "Good thing I don't even have to try." I say with a sarcastic smile. Just then, the waitress comes with our coffee. "What can I get you to eat?" she asks, clearly only paying attention to Mikey. "Oh um just the coffee thanks. Could you bring the check?" he asks. "Sure thing sugar." she says and smiles the fakest smile I've ever seen. "What if I was hungry?" I ask with a grin plastered on my face. 'Happy. This is happy. I'm enjoying this.' I tell myself. Except this time, I agree. I might actually be happy. "You can just eat me." he says with the biggest smile I've ever seen. I couldn't help but laugh. "Here you go." the annoying waitress said placing our check on the table. "Here let me get this for you." she said to me leaning across the table to grab my coffee cup that was still half full. I could tell she was desperate to reach an angle where Mikey would be forced to look at her fake boobs. She smiled brightly once again before walking behind the counter and staring at us. Mikey stood up and grabbed my hand leading me towards the door. Before he opened it though, he turned to the waitress. "My girlfriend doesn't appreciate how slutty you are. Hit on a single guy next time babe." he said with a wink. He then ripped up the napkin she wrote her phone number on and threw it on the floor. Meanwhile, she was in utter shock and started pouting. I couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation. We just walked out the door giggling. "Where to?" I asked "That's for me to know and you to find out" he replied smugly and started driving. "My house first. I need to get out of this damn dress." I say messing with the strange material. "If you wanted out of that dress, all you had to do was ask." Mikey said with a smirk but drove in the direction of my neighborhood anyways. I took the opportunity to hook up my phone to his speakers. "Any requests?" I ask. "Put it on shuffle." I did as he asked and the first song that came on was 'Crucify Me' by Bring Me The Horizon. "I didn't know you were into the heavier stuff." Mikey says over the loud music. On the fifteen minute drive to my house, we discussed our similar music taste and how they came to be. "Want me to come in?" Mikey asked with a smirk as he pulled into my driveway. My mom was home but it's about one or two in the morning so chances are she'll be sleeping. "No thanks." I laughed "I think I can get dressed by myself." I winked and got out of the car. I carefully opened my door and crept up the stairs making no noise. Once I got to my room, I shut the door and let out a sigh of relief. I grabbed my favorite pair of black skinny jeans and a navy v-neck shirt. After changing out of the dress and into more comfortable clothes, I fixed my eyeliner and put on a dark purple beanie. The window, I decided, would be my best bet considering I could hear my mom walking downstairs. "Shit" I mumbled. My mom didn't care about when I got home tonight but I didn't want to have to answer all these questions. Especially the ones I don't even know the answer to. I put on Mikey's leather jacket once again and hopped out my window onto my roof. I made sure the window was closed before looking down. It didn't seem like that far of a drop. I could see Mikey laughing at me in his car so I flipped him off. I sat on the roof and scooted over so my legs were dangling off the edge. After a few quick breaths, I slid off and surprisingly landed on my feet though I felt a jolt of pain spread from my heels up my legs. I ignored the pain and walked to the car, the throbbing in my legs getting less and less noticeable. "Where to now?" I ask while sliding into the car. "Hmm...."
"Michael" I said in a warning tone. I was suspicious. "Want to get a tattoo?" He asked. His eyes were wide and I could see the hope in them. "Sure thing, sugar." I said in attempt to mock the waitress. How could I say no?
A/N Okay I lied about when I was updating. I got grounded. I promise I'm working harder to update regularly
