"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I said practically yelling. He laughed at my anger. "Hemmings, get the fuck out." I heard Mikey call from behind. "Maddy babe," Luke began. I cut him off. "No Luke. I do not give a shit about what you have to say. It was a bet. You made me like you then cheated on me. Nothing you can say has any meaning to me anymore. Go away." Luke continued smiling. "I came here to tell you that I didn't cheat on you. I don't want rumors flying around that I'm a cheater. Maddy, our relationship was all in your head. You got too hopeful after one date. Bets don't count. My girlfriend knew that. See ya at school tomorrow." He winked and walked back to his car. At this point I was practically in tears. I should've fucking known. This is all my fault. I'm so gullible. I cannot believe I fell for his stupid act. Sure, I had suspicions but nothing this bad. And he has a fucking girlfriend. Someone hugged be but I didn't know who. I was squeezing my eyes shut so the tears wouldn't fall.I hugged the mystery person back. "It's okay." I heard Mikey mumbled to me. "Okay I kind of need you guys to stay if you don't mind." I said drying my eyes. Surprisingly, Milka was the first to speak up. "We'll always be here for you." It was a nice gesture because we never really talked all that much but I considered her a trustworthy friend. The group agreed as my mom walked in. "We're having a sleepover!" Daizha yelled with fake enthusiasm but I knew she was excited. My mother looked at all of us before speaking. "This is not the guy/girl ratio I would hope for. Just don't get pregnant or arrested. Yes Milka, I'm looking at you. Ashton can be quite forgetful. Rainbow boy, I like your hair. Not Asian Asian boy, you look sweet do not disappoint me. Daizha honey keep an eye on them. And Madeline, get some fucking sleep for god's sake." My mom instructed. We were blushing and giggling. As I walked up the stairs, my mom called me back down. "Be right back." I muttered and ran down the stairs. My mom gave me a sad look. "Daizha told me about Luke. Are you okay?" I wasn't but nodded my head anyways. I could take care of myself. "I know you're lying to me. I know when you're not fine but I'll let it slide this time. Go have fun." I forced a smile and went up the steps. I stopped halfway up and sat there for a moment. I thought of all the good and bad things. They just kind of cancel eachother out making it more difficult to figure out if I'm happy or not. I didn't really want my thoughts to get dark so I shook it off and ran into my room. The group was just sat around talking. I grabbed Daizha's iPod and hooked it up to the speakers. Fall Out Boy blasted through the room and we all sang along in probably the most off pitch voices you could imagine. The amazing thing was that we didn't care. We're all idiots who loved music and that was theonly important thing. Music was the reason I know half of them. "We should all go to prom together." Ashton suggested. "That might be too cheesy for me. Plus, I'm not going to prom. It's a waste of time." I said. "Madeline prom is in two days and you wait until right now to yell me you're not going?" Daizha said seeming shocked. I shrugged. "It's not that important. A bunch of people in stupid dresses go to the one place I can't stand and dance to crappy music before going to a hotel so they can get drunk and fuck." I stated. "Well I can truthfully say that I will not be wearing a dress to prom. I can't say the same for Ashton or Calum but the rest of your slightly depressing speech was just about right." Mikey claimed in amusement. "Shut up Mikey." Cal and Ash said. Apparently they didn't like the mental picture of wearing dresses to prom. "At least Maddy loves me." He pouted and rested his head in my lap. "Yeah right." I said laughing and pushing him away. "I hate youuuu." He whined. I patted his newly purple hair "Sure you do." I said continuing to laugh. "You're going to prom." Daizha said. I knew better than to argue with her. "Fiiiiiiiine." She smiled innocently as if she wasn't planning to murder me if I said no. I started playing music through the speakers again. This time we were singing but also moshing and playing air instruments. We did this for probably a few hours until my mom burst in the room. "Are you all simultaneously having seizures?" My mother asked curiously. "NO IT'S PUNK ROCK" Calum shouted over the music, continuing to air guitar around my room. As the song ended, I turned the speakers off. "You guys need to at least pretend to be asleep." My mom instructed. We all took turns getting changed. I gave Daizha and Milka sweatpants to sleep in. The boys decided to just sleep in their boxers despite the fact that Daizha got uncomfortable and Milka couldn't stop blushing. It was pretty entertaining. I was shameless enough to have no reaction. "Where are going to sleep?" Daizha asked. "Floor." I answered simply and began laying blankets on the floor. I set down pillows and went to get more blankets from the hall closet. "So.." I heard Mikey behind me. "You should go to prom." He said. "Yeah right. It's stupid" I told him and turned to face him. "I know but I just really think you should go to prom." I laughed. "Prom is in two days people have been preparing for months." I said. "You don't really seem like one to plan ahead anyways." He pointed out. "Please?" he asked once again. "Is this you asking me to go to prom with you?" I asked. "Obviously." he scoffed. "Is this you saying yes?" He asked. "Obviously."
