Astrid woke with horror as another nightmare plagued her dreams. Of Hiccup getting killed by Grimmel. Suddenly a dragon roar came from outside and a shout was heard, a feminine voice reached Astrid's ears and age raced out to see a girl on a dragon that looked like a mix of a Light Fury and a Night Fury, then she noticed the Light Fury bound up to meet her and nuzzles the girl affectionately, then nuzzled the dragon affectionately.

Berkians crowded around the girl, seeing her as a threat so Astrid swooped down to see what was going on and noticed the girl looked nervous and had a sword out in self defence, made from gronkle iron. "Guardian where have you been?!" The girl cried out and hugged the white dragon. "Who are you?" Astrid asked and the girls head swiveled around and stormy grey eyes met blue. "I'm here for the Guardian and the Alpha." She sinply said, motioning to Toothless and the Light Fury. "Where is your chief?" She asked but instead of answering Astrid decided to let her curiosity take over. "What's your name and why are you here for the Light Fury and Night Fury?" The girl hesitated and then took off her hood and cape to reveal black and white scaled armour, and she had white hair tied neatly back into a braid. "My name is Charlotte and the Night Fury is my Alpha, and the Light Fury is my Luna." She said. Astrid admitted, to girl was pretty. "Do you know Hiccup Haddock?" She asked and Charlotte's eyes widened. "Yes, he's heir to Berk and he's my cousin." She said and Astrid was shocked. "He was taken by Grimmel, and shot with one of the sleep darts." She admitted and Charlotte's eyes widened. "WHAT?!" She screeched like a dragon in fear. "Do you know what Grimmel is capable of?" She yelled and Toothless roared and Charlotte grasped her head. "Sorry Alpha." Then she came back up and looked at Astrid. "Come with me, I need to tell you something since I can tell you and Hiccup are close." She said before getting back into the dragon and rode it without a saddle to the bottom on a ledge of the island. Astrid landed beside her and when she sat down, Charlotte began to talk.

"Grimmel is more powerful than you think, being able to use the most amazing things or creatures in your life to break you. And he has recently started to use a drug from a dragon called Deathgrippers, it is used to drug Dragons into obedience. He caught me once and used the drug on me. And it worked on me and he used me to destroy villages until the Guardian of Dragons was able to find and rescue me..." Charlotte began before Astrid cut her off. "If she's the Guardian of Dragons, why'd she save you?" Astrid asked and Charlotte sighed. "Because I have the soul of a dragon, so I'm half human, half dragon. Anyway, she found me and rescued me, taking me back to the Hidden World where we bonded and then Toothless or my Alpha came as they had offspring. Which I call Night Lights. After a while Toothless went back to Hiccup and the Light Fury and her offspring stayed in the Hidden World until she left ad didn't come back, then I felt a help signal come through into my dragon soul from the Alpha and Guardian and came on the female Night Light to Berk where they told me that the apparent chief had been captured by Grimmel." Charlotte said and Astrid sat there. "What will Grimmel do to Hiccup?" She asked and Charlotte looked at her dead in the eye. "What does he value most in his life? Apart from you since Grimmel obviously doesn't have you." She said and Astrid thought hard about the question. "Dragons." She said and Charlotte sighed. "He's able to break spirits, and if Hiccup values dragons most in his life, Grimmel will make him go against the dragon and possibly kill it." "Hiccup would never do that willingly!" Astrid exclaimed and Charlotte's face darkened. "Grimmel then will make him do it against his own will. I know how Grimmel fights, but you may need to fight Hiccup to save him. Once a spirit is broken, Grimmel keeps them in the drug because they won't want to remember what they did. I broke a bit from killing the villages, but once I learnt j couldn't stop what he had done, that I wasn't able to fight the drug, I realised it wasn't my fault, but it was Grimmel's fault."

Astrid looked at the rider carefully. She had to think this through carefully. Hiccups spirit was strong, but killing a dragon was able to break it, and if Grimmel has succeeded, then this would be worse than she thought. "I need you to gather all the dragons and get all the riders ready for battle. We are going to get Hiccup back." Astrid said. "I will, but be warned that you may have to fight Hiccup, and you'll need to get him in a position where he cannot move, or your life will be on the line. In the drug he can hear you but will not process it as a friend, but as an enemy. If he's in the drug when you fight, he will be focused on killing you. And remember it's like Grimmel is in his mind." Charlotte warned and Astrid nodded. At this Charlotte flew off, leaving the Chiefess to plan out the battle.

Grimmel looked at the chief and decided to make him remember, so his spirit wouldn't heal. He walked up to the chief and put him in chains. Chaining his hands to either side of the cell and collaring the chief and chaining him to the floor after pulling out the drug, then chained his feet to the floor. The young chief came back to consciousness and instantly began to drop to his knees but couldn't reach the ground as Grimmel attaches chains to the roof as well, and sat back as Hiccup struggled against the chains and tears welled at his eyes as the memories flooded back to him. He pulled hard at the chains holding his arms and jerked his body from side to side in agony and realisation from what he'd done. "I'm a monster" Grimmel heard the boy repeat over and over as he struggled and eventually his men came to the arena with one of Drago's dragon traps, with muzzles and harnesses to hold the dragon down inside it. "Where's the girl?" Grimmel asked and they brought a cage out beside the trap to reveal a young girl with white hair and blue eyes. "Jasmine." The girl looked up and growled at him. "Why did you make someone look like me?" She asked as another girl flew down in a Stormcutter form before changing back. "Charlotte." He said and the girl removed her white wig to show light brown hair and stormy grey eyes. Jasmine growled.

"Change into your dragon form or your brother will take a worse beating, like he already is." Jasmine's eyes widened in distress as she saw her brother struggling with the memories and she turned into her dragon form. A Night Light with a white body and black tail fins, paws and ears. Grimmel dragged her into the trap and got a dragon muzzle that was attached to the ground and placed it on her head, tightening it till he heard a groan from the dragon, then he got the harness and placed it on her body, tightening it before pulling on the chains, forcing her closer to the ground and made sure we wings were secure so she couldn't try to fly and make them loose.

Grimmel was about to bring her head close to the ground before he heard a flap of wings and saw a male Night Light land and turn into a human boy. "Aiden, would you like to do the honours?" He asked, gesturing to Jasmine and Aiden grinned, grabbing on of the chains and yanked it hard, jerking half of the dragons head down, and attached it to the trap floor, then got the other side and did the same, then his sibling grabbed the other chain and the pulled so hard the dragon couldn't look up, then attached it to the floor before going to work or chaining her tail down. As Charlotte and Aiden worked on the tail Grimmel whispered into Jasmine's dragon ear. "Your not going to escape on my watch, and your brother will receive the same treatment before we head off to New Berk and make the Alpha and Guardian realise they were tricked. How saddening." He said and that stirred Jasmine because she started to pull, but the chains held step ad she didn't get anywhere, but seeing she was able to move Grimmel called two guards over to tighten the chains on the dragons harness, to keep her close to the ground, and after a few adjustments Jasmine was barely able to move. A small whine escaped her before she collapsed, the chains stopping her from changing back into her human form.

Grimmel led the broken chief out of the cage to where Jasmine was being held and made sure the chiefs hands were tied together tightly before showing him. Hiccup gasped. "No..." he breathed. "Oh yes Hiccup, Jasmine did this to protect you, Berk is being tricked, and without you to protect them, they will fall, and it'll be your fault." He whispered before dragging Hiccup away as the young chief and his sister struggled to get free. Grimmel dragged him into the cave where some guards were taking Jasmine, and he threw Hiccup into a cell. "Beat him into submission." He told some of his men and they nodded, closing the door and he helped the men taking Jasmine bring her into a different cell, where she was opposite Hiccup and was forced to listen to his screams and cries as he got beaten.
