I stepped up to the ticket booth.
"Good afternoon." The salesman said as I approached.
"You as well, um. I'd like four tickets to Kansas City, Missouri."
"What are you youngsters doing so far from home during the school year?" He asked as we showed him our Ids.
I shrugged and smiled at him. "Up to no good I guess."
He laughed cheerfully. "That's the spirit." He slipped four tickets to Kansas City through the glass.
I grabbed the tickets and passed out the other three. "Have a nice day." I said to him.
He almost seemed to cheerful but he didn't say or do anything that could've labeled him as a monster so I genuinely believed he was happy.
"Okay perfect we're all in the same compartment, I hate sitting next to strangers." Landon said shivering.
"You've been living with strangers your whole life." Olivia said reading over her tickets.
"Yeah and one of them tied Raf up and tried to get him exorcised." Landon said glaring at her which she either didn't care or didn't see.
"Play nice." Hope said as we showed the conductor our tickets as we boarded the train.
"You're pretty good with your words." Landon said to me as Olivia and I sat down across from Hope and Landon.
I shrugged. "Yeah I am now, a few days ago I sucked at talking. Must be a Zeus thing?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well I mean Zeus impregnates almost everything he sees." I said to them.
"Does that mean he's good with words or he just says he's Zeus?" Olivia asked.
I shrugged. "In most stories he appears to them as a mortal. I believe, I could be wrong though."
Thunder cracked overhead as Zeus listened in.
"Is that just a coincidence or is it Zeus?" Hope whispered.
"Oh it's one hundred percent Zeus."
I pulled out my phone and paled.
"What is it?" Hope asked. "You look like someone when they missed six phone calls from their mom."
"It's Saltzman, he's called eight times."
"You better call him back, I'm trying to have somewhere to go back to." Olivia said to me.
I slid the notification on my phone and put it on speaker as the number rang.
"Achilles, it's about time you answered. You and three of my students are missing. Know anything about it?" He asked me.
"Yeah we're all together and safe."
"Where are you?" He asked clearly knowing I was stalling the truth.
"We're on a train to Kansas City." I said biting my teeth together.
"What? Why?!" He asked angrily.
"Ah for gods sake give me the phone." Hope growled taking it out of my hands. "Dr. Saltzman... Olivia, Landon, Achilles, and I are going after the box and yes we did it without telling because you wouldn't let us go if we had asked. Now, this is Achilles quest and we need to get this box before monsters are unleashed upon the world."
"What kind of monsters are we talking?" I heard Dorian say in the background.
"You know the monsters from mythology that are no longer around? Yeah those ones. Like the Kraken, and Typhoon." I said to them.
"Ah hell nah, that's really bad news. You guys better get that box and get it back to Zeus before we got the gods and world destroying monsters on our hands." Dorian said taking the phone from Saltzman.
"Thank you, Mr. Williams." I said into the phone.
"You guys aren't off the hook but good luck and stay safe." Saltzman said before hanging up.
"That went much better than expected." Landon said.
We all agreed with him before closing I closed my eyes, prepared for the long train ride ahead of us.

"I hate this town." I said as we got off the train just inside the city."What did it ever do to you?" Landon asked as we stood in one spot figuring out what hotel we were going to stay at. The time was eleven o'clock and it was not only dark but it was also cold, winter was getting closer and closer everyday.
"Clearly my mom couldn't tell me my father was Zeus so she made up the abandonment excuse and this was the town that he ran away to. I grew up hating this let alone never actually coming her." I said to them.
"Jeez, that took a dark turn real quick. I thought maybe you tripped and fell on the sidewalk but nope you took it straight to the daddy abandoned me." Landon said causing us both to laugh.
"Hey look at that. No thunder." Hope said shrugging as we started to walk towards downtown.
Thunder boomed moments after she opened her mouth.
"You just had to jinx." I said rolling my eyes at the sky.
It was an hour later before we reached the hotel that we had looked at shortly after we got off the train. We were only planning to stay one night, so it wouldn't be all that expensive.
"Could we get one double bed room?" I asked the receptionist.
She went into her computer and frowned. "I'm sorry Sir, but we currently only have single bed rooms available at the moment."
I nodded. "Yeah that's fine." I figured it'd just be me and Landon and then Olivia and Hope together.
"For one night then?"
"Yeah that'll be great."
"Okay that is going to be ninety three dollars with a two hundred and fifty dollar down deposit just in case anything is broken." She said nicely.
I handed her the cash, two fifty was a lot but I figured I'd get it back. At least I didn't plan on breaking anything.
"Your rooms are 1515 and 1516." She said handing me the keys.
"Thank you." I said smiling before turning to my friends.
I saw Landon and Hope were smiling and holding hands.
I groaned. "You're joking."
I looked over at Olivia who all of a sudden found the wall extremely interesting.
"You're not going to help me here?" I asked her.
She shook her head. "Sorry, but I don't really have a say in the matter. Those two have seniority so what they say goes."
I rolled my eyes. "This is literally my quest."
"Yeah but we're both still older than you." Hope said snatching the card out of my hand and walked off with Landon at her heels.
"You're annoying." I said Olivia as we followed them.
"What you don't trust me. I figured you'd didn't want my help."
I glared at Landon in the elevator who laughed at me.
"We're not friends anymore." I said to him.
He pushed me and laughed again. "You're such a baby."
Now I hate Kansas City even more.
