It was time to swap shifts for the guys, we were still in the tower chatting to Jethro and the new trainee Ryan who came in about an hour ago. Jethro was on half a day, so he was leaving as soon as Harrison got to the tower to take him off. Maxi offered Jamei and Connor a shot on the jet ski, which they happily took and were busy getting ready. Harrison walked in, laughing because i was sat watching the water with a pair of binoculars. Wasn't really looking for anything in particular, just curious.
"Well, look who it is" He dropped down in the seat next to me. "My arch nemesis, BINO MAN!" I shouted and i flung the binoculars at him. Spinning around on the wheely chair. "I heard there was a lost kid?" He asked, and i nodded, "Yeah, she clung onto my leg so i brought her up here. Maxi's taking double trouble out on the ski" I told him, "Yeah, i saw then suiting up before. Reidy's going to help them launch" He was looking out at the beach. "The little girls mother came and found me y'know" My interest peaked. "Really? What did she say? Why did she come and find you?" I was confused. "Well apparently the lovely man in the tower told her that your boyfriend was up at north corner, and she wanted to say thank you. I think she worked out that Jules wasn't your boyfriend, on her own" I began laughing. "Wow... i didnt think she'd actually try and find you. Jethro, the shit, thought it was funny to get payback because me and Poppy stole his crisps." The packet was still on the side so i flicked it in the bin. "She was gone before i got the chance to tell her we weren't together" His shoulders dropped slightly. I felt bad, for saying that. I'm such a tit.
"Was north end quiet?" I asked, changing the subject. "Yeah, there was a little turtle in the kids pool, but apart from that, not much in the way of rescues" he said.

Harrison
When she spoke about us not being together, it did hit me that we weren't. These past few weeks have been amazing, and i could 100% imagine spending my life with this girl. She was funny, confident, and most of all fearless. She was accepting, loving and had a smile that brightened up any room.
It was a hard. She lived in the UK, I lived here in Australia. She travelled a lot and was always on the go. Which made being together difficult.
"Was north end quiet?" She asked in a quiet voice, changing the subject. "Yeah, there was a little turtle in the kids pool, but apart from that, not much in the way of rescues" I said placing the binoculars down on the desk. "A turtle?" She asked, a little giggle making its way past her lips. God her lips. "Yes a turtle. Reidy is terrified of them, so i had to get it" That sent her into a fit of giggles. I couldn't help but smile at her.
After her giggles dies down, we sat in silence for a few moments. The only sounds were me directing the lads on the beach around to where they'd need to be. I had an idea. "What are you doing tonight?" I asked her. She looked at me, looking confused. "No idea, probably sleeping, possibly reading" She pondered. "No you're not" She raised her eyebrows at me. "Oh really? And who says otherwise?" She leaned forward, resting her hands on my knees. "Me. We're going to a bonfire/bbq. The lads are having one for Taco's birthday at Hoppo's house, and we're going" I stated. She just smiled and shook her head, "Tell me where i need to be and when" God i love her smile. "Meet me at my apartment at 7. And i'd recommend wearing swimwear. Hoppo has an amazing Jacuzzi." She nodded. We sat there chatting for another half hour or so, until Jamei came running in with a wetsuit on. Maxi had told him about the bonfire judging by him shouting about needing to get his eyebrows done and pulling Levi out of her seat.
She threw her head back into the tower and shouted "See you later, gator" And blew me a kiss.
I honestly dont know how i'd feel when she left.

7pm was rolling around soon. I got off work at 6 and managed to get home, and ready in less than an hour. Levi was on her way. Just as i was running my hand through my hair with some intention of taming it the door bell went. She was here!
I ran and answered the door and there she stood, i was expecting Jamei and Connor to be with her, but she was alone. Her hair pinned in a loose bun, she had a cute sundress on. Her long legs on show. God help me. She walked into the apartment giving me a kiss on the cheek as she passed. She walked into the kitchen, placing her bag on the counter.

"I just need to get my shoes and we can go?" I asked her, i had my back to her, picking up my shoes and when i didnt hear a response i turned to find she wasn't there... What on earth? I walked to the kitchen, around the island and she wasn't there. Suddenly she jumped on my back, giggling. "BOO!" She whispered in my ear. I couldnt do anything from laughing. I had hold of her thighs. She stayed on my back and grabbed her bag, "Onwards, noble steed!" She pointed towards the door and i turned my head to face her slightly, "Where to m'lady?" Tightening my grip on her legs i marched towards the door. Her head came close to my ear as we hit to door, "WAR" She shouted. This girl is going to be the death of me, she was laughing so hard she nearly fell off my back.

We reached Hoppo's house in 10 minutes, it was a huge three story house facing out onto Bondi on top of the cliffs near North End. She had slid off my back earlier on, conscious about her sundress. The smell of food was already prominent, along with loud laughter. We cut along the side of the house, down a path. My hand on hers as i lead the way. We came around the corner and everyone was already there, including Jamei and Connor.
"HEY! It's the Lovebirds!" Maxi announced, eliciting a few laughs and Levi's face to go bright red. She gave a small wave and we began to mingle.
I'd lost her in the crowd of people about half an hour ago, but i found her sat on the bench at the side of the garden with Jesse's girlfriend Tullie. They were so engrossed in conversation, giggling and laughing it seemed rude to interrupt them. Jesse was beside me, looking t the two girls.
"Mate, look at that. They're chatting like they've been best friends for years!" He observed them. We walked down to the bottom of the garden where Hoppo was setting off the small bonfire. "I know. You've got no idea how much i want to call her mine" I confess. "Then why don't you?" He questions. I just give him a sideways look. Hoppo, hearing the conversation, spoke up from the other side of the old oil drum full of kindling he was lighting on fire. "Just ask her, Mate. I highly doubt she'll say no" He gave me a look and Jesse patted me on the back. "Also, are you guys staying over tonight or going home? The wife's asking about blankets" He gave a small smile looking up the garden to his wife bustling around the bbq at the top of the garden.
