Sam looked a little angry, which was understandable considering she'd probably been told by Maxi what happened. Maxi just had a massive shit eating grin across his face. The little shit.

"Hey Hutz, Hoppo wanted to speak to you at the tower. I think he wants you to train the new trainee, mate." Harrison still had his hand loosely on my waist, my face beetroot red. He turned to me and said "I'll see you later on?" He asked, hopeful. I nodded, and leaned up to kiss his cheek.

He left, grabbing Maxi as he went, who, was stood there making kissy faces. Sam laughed at them, but quickly turned her attention to me. I immediately felt my anger rise again.
"What on EARTH Happened?" She all but screamed from across the tent. I'm 99% sure they could probably hear her from North end.
"Have you spoken to Jamei?!" She shook her head.
"No. He was in a right state when i passed him just before. He mentioned something about being sorry but not what for." She looked at me expecting a response.

I explained to her the drama from last night, the fright, me having to go and get them. Staying at Harrisons and mine and Jamei's little fight earlier on. Needless to say she was furious. With Jamei for the fiasco last night, and me for hitting him today. However, she immediately straightened up and looked serious. She smiled though which was odd.
"Well there's a reason i'm here. We've got interviews to do for the championships" I looked at her blankly. Not having a clue what was going on.
"Did Jamei not tell you?" She huffed. I shook my head.
"Jesus, that boy. I entered you a few months ago. Remember." I nodded pretending i did. " I knew we'd already be over here. So... I signed you up to compete. There's a few press interviews to do over the next few weeks and after this shoot is done we need to begin intense training again." She explained typing something on her phone.
"Oh, okay." I wasn't really interested in what she was saying. I just wanted to get out of this tent. Jamei wasn't going to talk to me, i knew that. He was going to keep apologising. Sam's phone rang and she walked out the tent and answered it.

"Hey, Le, the ribbon's up of you fancy a shot so we can get heights right?" Carl popped his head into the tent. I grinned.
"Give me five to grab some gear" He nodded and went back out.
I grabbed a plan black practice unitard and my wrist straps.

Putting them on, i thought about the kiss

Putting them on, i thought about the kiss. It didn't take me long to get ready, i threw my hair into a tight knot on my head and left the tent. Black probably wasn't the best colour in this weather. I climbed onto the small platform and got a feel of the ribbon. It felt soft in my hand. Silky to allow me to slip easily. My bare feet feeling it as i hooked my feet around it and pulled myself up. I raised off the floor

At my feet hit the floor at the end of the routine, more like a bunch of moves just haphazardly thrown together. It's been a long time since i did ribbon. Even longer since i did straps. I felt a pang in my leg as i hit the floor. My foot, the cut from yesterday. It was stinging. Doesn't surprise me. I pushed it off and sat down on the platform. My feet dangling off the slide as i watched the sea.

"Le?" I hear a small voice from behind me. Immediately knowing who it was, i didn't turn round.
"Le, I'm sorry. I shouldnt of gotten so drunk. I shouldnt of gotten involved in the fighting. I'm sorry. And if it makes you feel any better i'm sore, hungover, and you've still got your right hook" He went on. I sighed. I couldnt stay mad at him. I still didn't turn around. I just patted the platform next to me, motioning for him to sit down. He did, quickly
"Stop apologising. You're embarrassing when you grovel." We sat in silence for a few minutes. I broke the silence.
"I'm sorry for hitting you." I spoke, almost like a whisper. He Hugged me from the side. I hugged him back.
"I'm just so glad you didnt hit me in the face" He mumbled into my hair. I laughed and pushed him away.
"Don't tempt me"

We spent the rest of the morning back at the hotel, Jamei was sleeping off the last of his hangover. I was on ly laptop, looking around for decent rehearsal spaces for us, since we were staying here for the competition and the cranes wouldnt be there much longer. It was coming up to 4:30pm. We had to be down at the beach for 5. I was in some leggings and a jacket tied around my waist.

I grabbed my things, throwing them in my handbag and leaving to knock on Jameis door, he answered looking slightly more refreshed than earlier on

I grabbed my things, throwing them in my handbag and leaving to knock on Jameis door, he answered looking slightly more refreshed than earlier on. Must have put a face mask on. He closed his door behind him and we walked down to the beach, general chatter about the weather. Things were still slightly frosty between us. But, we're partners in dance. Best friends for 10 years. We'd get over it.

Hitting the prom, the entire south end of the beach was bustling with life. Lights, camera, action. I kicked off my shoes as we hit the sand, Sam meeting us half way. Grinning.
"Hurry! Get ready! We better get this rolling!"

...............................................

The director came into the tent and made a little speech about being careful because it was dark. "Levi. There's been a change in ideas from the producers. They want you on the hoop in the dark. Then we'll get you both on the ribbon." I frowned. Why were they changing it now? Jamei questioned this.
"Why are they changing it now? Whats the point in the video concept?" He asked. I nodded in agreement.
"They think it'll be better to show a strong female lead." He explained. It was my turn to speak up now.
"But we're a team. The idea was to have a story about two people. Equals." I explained, frowning.
"And you are. Equals i mean. But we need more than just one routine for the video. We need snippets of you both. We'll get some of Jamei tonight too, by himself" He furthered. I exchanged a look with Jamei and it was one of equal annoyance. We just nodded. I'll speak to Sam about it tomorrow.

It was 9pm by time we'd finished. I was so tired. Jamei just wanted to sleep. He was napping on his chair while i peeled my hair out of the bun that was just a hair sprayed rock at this point. My phone buzzed on the side.

Hey! I can see the lights from my apartment. You still there? xx

To : Harrison

From : Harrison
Want to come over to mine? I've got  Doritos 😂 xx

To : Harrison
Sure 😊 I do love some Doritos. I'm leaving soon xx

He messaged me telling me he was going to meet me on the prom. I had to wake Jamei up. Get him back, or at least in a cab. I managed to get him up, sorted and in a taxi. The car pulling away just as Harrison came around the corner. Flip flops and shorts. Bless him.

"Hey!" He hugged me straight away. I hugged back, feeling comfort. "Come on, we can pick some food up on the way back" As if reading my mind. I didnt even realise how hungry i was.
"oooo that sounds amazing." We walked hand in hand back along the street, it was beautiful at night. Even better knowing i had an amazing man by my side.
