Chapter 13: An unexpected Surprise

Ryder's POV

I woke up to the brightness of the sun rays and sat up to stretch myself awake. I looked to my side and saw Y/N still sleeping like a baby...She's so cute when she's sleeping. I have to get up quickly, i need to prepare something for her. I want to make this day special for the both of us. And what other idea is there than to do a picknick at the lake? She will love it for sure. It shouldn't be a problem, but i have to get something else. Maybe when i go back to Y/N's old home i will find what i'm looking for...

So i sneaked out as quiet as i could out of our home and made my way to Y/N's old home to find the thing i'm looking for. With this i could make this day even better for me and Y/N. I will make sure of it.

I better get ready...

Your POV

You slowly opened your eyes and stretched yourself, only to notice that Ryder wasn't with you...You began to grow worried and dressed yourself quickly and looked for him around the house. Then you spotted a piece of paper lieing on the kitchen counter, so you took it in your hands and began to read.

Hey Y/N, i want to show you something cool. Meet me at the forest lake.

I'll be waiting for you there.

Oh and don't forget to dress yourself real elegant, this will be very special for the both of us!

Ryder

Something special, huh? You were growing excited, so you went off to the lake as fast as you could. But you didn't need to, it seems like that Ryder left his motorcycle behind and his key was still stuck inside. Maybe he left it here for you on purpose, so you won't be late for the special event. And besides he told you to dress yourself more elegant. But why? You will find out soon, you thought to yourself and drove to your old home with Ryder's motorcycle to look for any leftover dresses from your past. You remembered that you had many dresses, because you went on many parties in your teenager times. But what should you wear? You had the choice to use a long red dress, that you mostly used for celebrations. Then there was your princess dress you used at costume partys. You searched around more and found the perfect dress for this special day. A mid-long dress in your favourite color with approriate shoes and jewelry to complete the outfit. You were ready to go....no, not now, maybe you should change your hairstyle as well to make it really special. So you styled your hair appropriately for the meeting in form of a very elegant bun and applied more intense makeup and then you were done. You were now ready to see Ryder, so you took your belongings and headed back to the forest. You were already shocked when you arrived. You saw a marked path with candles on each side and roses right next to them. It looked so romantic and you were close to exploding, because you were so hyped for the surprise. If that was Ryder's work, then he will certainly deserve a big hug for this. The forest was glooming around the romantic atmosphere that the marked path emitted. You actually were close to crying, because it was so beautiful, but you had to pull yourself together. You don't want to embarass yourself and ruin everything. Then you caught the sight of the lake you and Ryder visited one day together. You saw a blanket with a picknick basket and the blanket was surrounded by rose petals. But there was no sign of Ryder...

"Ryder? Are you here? I got your message..."

"Glad you could make it, gorgeous!"

He came from your right from the woods and you noticed that he was wearing a red tuxedo shirt and black pants with black shoes. He was smiling at you and you were close to crying, because you were so overwhelmed by this romantic introduction. You gaze was growing in amazement and you ran towards him, hugging him deeply.

"It's so beautiful, how did you do this?"

"It's fitting you perfectly, Y/N. I knew you would like it."

"You know me well..."

You broke away from the hug and walked towards the picknick blanket and sat yourself down with Ryder right next to you, hugging you with one arm, while you leaned into him. You started to eat together with him and soon you were hugging each other again, but then Ryder did something surprising...He turned away from you and pulled out something you weren't able to see. Then he presented it right in front of you and you gasped.

An engagement ring...

"Y/N, no matter what happens, i will always be with you. I will always be yours. Until the very end we will stay together. Will you marry me?"

You looked at the ring with surprise and then looked up at him with tears beginning to form in your eyes. You began to smile and nodded , which he immediately reacted to with a loving hug. Then he broke away and slipped the ring on your finger and you looked at it amazed. It looked so beautiful.

"It's so beautiful..."

"Like i said before, it reflects your own beauty perfectly."

"Thank you, cutie. Thank you so much! Of course i will marry you. I won't ever leave you"

"Thanks, sweetheart."

You continued to look at the ring and now your future with Ryder was certain. You will always stay together, no matter what happens. But only one question raised itself inside you. 

"So....whose name are we taking?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, who is the leader of our family? Who would our new family be named after?"

"It would only be fair, if it would be called after you, sweetie."

"Awww...now you're making me blush...You're so good to me!"

"Anything for you, sweetheart!"

You smiled and began to grow tired, you noticed that it was nighttime again, so you got up quickly with Ryder and began to move home together. On the way back you still looked at your ring. The way he proposed to you and how he created the perfect scenery made your heart go wild. Now you two are bonded to each other and noone from you two will leave each other forever. You were determined to stay with him and you were really happy you decided this way...

Nothing will break you two apart now
