Chapter 37

I got into Jesse's house, "Vanessa you're home early.." Jesse said turning on the couch to look at me, and when he saw that I was a rech he furrowed his eyebrows. "What's wrong?" He got up form the couch and walked over.

"I- I have something to tell you..." I said looking down at my feet.

"What is it?"

"You know when we uh, had sex New Years night and we were late for work?" He nodded his head smirking. "Well uh, well when I was rushing to get us to work, I kinda.. I kinda forgot to take my birth control pills and didn't realize until it was to late.. and- and now I'm pregnant with your baby."

"What? Why did you forget to take your birth control pills!" Jesse said angrily, I took a step back shock to what I just heard, "And you're keeping it?"

It? "Yeah.. I'm not going to kill the baby. Every living thing deserves a chance even though you think it's an mistake.."

"Well I don't a prove of that, where getting rid of now!" He grabbed my arm,

"Ow Jess! What are doing?" I asked worryingly

"I'm going to get you to the doctors and get that 'thing' out of you."

"What?! No! Jess don't!" I tried to get out of his grip but it was no use.

I woke up with a start, "Jess don't!" I yelled making Deano swivel the car then straighten. I realized that it was a nightmare and that I was still Deano's car still going to Jesse's place.

"You okay sweetheart?" Deano asked,

"I don't feel so good, can you pull over I need some air.." I wasn't lying I felt sick mentally and physically. I usually don't get motion sickness but I do now.. I was shaking, not because I was cold, but because of my blood pressure dropping again.

"Yeah sure.." Deano said furrowing his eyebrows as he looked to see my hands shaking. He slowed down to pull over on the side of the road.

When he parked took my seat belt off and I got out. Deano followed, getting out himself. "You okay?"

"I feel nauseous like I'm gonna pass out again." The dizziness took over, but I caught myself by putting a hand on the car.

"I need to get you something to eat." Deano said helping me back in his car with no questions asked. He closed my door when I got in, I put my seat belt on. The dizziness was stronger and it didn't help that I was tired to, so I wanted to sleep.

I felt my body relax as my eyes rolled back into my head.

"Hey no Vanessa stay awake." I heard Deano's voice muffle. He rubbed my sternum again making me wince with pain, I opened my eyes slowly. "Vanessa I'm gonna have you cross your leg at your knee, It will help bring some your blood pressure up."

"Okay.." I crossed my leg to my knee. Within a few seconds a felt a little bit better then before.

After we ate and I had some salty foods, I felt better, my nausea was gone for awhile. There was a Shoppers Drug Mart in walking distance so I went there to get an early pregnancy test strip to make sure I'm 100% pregnant and not just sick or something.

When I bought I asked if I could use their staff bathroom and surprisingly the woman said yes

"Oh thank you."

"Yup no problem, it's just that the back on the right hand side." The cashier said smiling.

I got in the bathroom, after drinking a lot of water I had to go bad.

I quickly took the test strip out of its box and peed on it, the pee took awhile before fully finishing.

After I was done I put the lid of the pregnancy test strip back on.

After I wiped, flushed the toilet, and washed my hands I looked at the little screen of the test strip.

And not to my surprise, I saw a dark pink plus on the screen. Should is be happy or not? I don't know how Jesse is going to react, I hope he doesn't react like he did in my dream..

I kept the pregnancy test so I could show Jesse.

I got to Deano's car where he waited for me. As I walked to the passenger seat I gave a weak/happy smile, which confused him.

I sat in the seat beside Deano, "How'd it go? What were the results?" I showed him the pink plus. "Oh that's great! How do ya feel? Happy, sad?..." Deano asked starting the car.

"I don't know.. I don't really want to be a single mother if Jess doesn't want to be with me anymore..." I said as he pulled out of the parking lot, we only had 10 minutes left of our drive.

"Well I know Jesse and I don't think he'll ditch you and the growing baby."

"Let's hope so.."

"Can you wait.. just in case he kicks me out or something." I asked Deano as he parked in Jesse's drive way.

"Yeah sure,"

"I'll give you a text or a wave." I said

"You can just texted me."

"Alright." I said a little to giddy with hope.

I got out of Deano's car and started towards the door.

I unlocked the modern door and walked in. I saw exactly what I saw in my dream, Jesse sitting on the couch, "Vanessa you're home early.." Jesse said turning on the couch to look at me.

My heart felt like it stopped in that moment. He furrowed his eyebrows, just like in my nightmare, "What's wrong?" He asked getting up, I felt like I was going to faint because of how low my heart rate felt like it dropped. He got up from the couch and walked over.

"I-I have something to tell you."
