CHAPTER FORTY

Anna's Point-Of-View

"This is very delicious, Mrs. Cynthia. Thank you." Liam said, still chewing on his beef.

"Liam! Please! Chew before you speak!" Zayn threw a piece of broccoli at him.

Liam gulped, "Ok! Sorry!"

"No shouting at the table, lads." Henry spoke at the end of the table.

I can't help but smile. We were dining all together in one long table. Henry and Mrs. Cynthia on each end of the table; Louis, Eleanor, Sophia and Liam on the left side; while Niall, Gemma, Harry, Me and then Zayn occupied the right side.

Like a family...

"I am really gonna miss this." I whispered to myself.

"What was that, love?" Harry asked me.

"Nothing." I shook my head. "You don't have to know."

Zayn snorted beside me, "Of course she doesn't want you to know."

I nudged Zayn directly on his tummy making him spit the water he was drinking directly to Liam's face.

"Zayn!" Liam shouted, wiping off the wet particles off of his face.

I smirked, "Seems like you just couldn't keep it all in for yourself, do you Malik?"

"At least I'm not the one with all the secrets, Lopez!" Zayn banged his fist on the table making everyone stop eating and start to stare at our corner of the table.

I stood up and pointed to the kitchen, "Zayn! Side bar! Now."

He rolled his eyes and walked off to the kitchen. I turned around to face everyone with a smile.

"Ignore us everyone, he's just upset because he lost like five rematches of chess with me." I was about to walk off when Harry pulled me back.

"What was THAT all about?" his voice stern and serious.

I chuckled, "He doesn't take defeat well."

Fortunately, Harry fell for it.

He nodded and pecked my lips, "Hurry back."

I said yes and went straight to the kitchen. I found Zayn leaning on the kitchen counter while drinking a beer.

"What the fuck was that?!" I was fuming.

He snickered, "You're so cute when you're mad."

"Do you even realize what you're actually trying to do here?!"

"All I'm trying to do is get the fucking truth out of you!" he yelled, putting his beer down harshly.

"What truth?!" now it was my turn to bang my fist on the table.

"I don't know!" he barked, clenching his fists on his sides. "I don't know..."

"I'm serious, Zayn. Why did you... why WOULD you do that? Are you seriously trying to create an issue here?" I sighed, massaging my temples.

None of us said a word for a while. Zayn drank his beer and I just... my mind was in a battle between telling him the truth or just keep it all to myself. It just that... the consequences... he might tell them about my disease.

Then without another word, I walked out of the kitchen then passing the dining room to go to my bedroom. I fell down to my bed and grabbed a pillow to muffle up my loud scream.

Why would Zayn do that in front of everyone? I know he means well but... I can't bear the thought of tell anyone else about my disease.

I didn't even realize that I've started crying until a tear dropped down on my hand. I wiped it quickly and stopped. I won't cry about this. No. I just won't.
