Sunlight peaked in gently through the mansion, illuminating the walnut hardwood floors.

The padding of socked feet and hushed conversation could be heard all throughout the living place. The smell of delicious home cooked food wafted through the room, as young men laid out a buffet of exquisite delicacies. Others, who were too destructive to be near the kitchen, were hanging decorations and balloons throughout the space.

The place seemed buzzing with life.

"Yah, Namjoon-hyung, you tore the banner!"

"I-I'm sorry. Is there some tape?"

"Seriously," said the youngest of the members who was good at almost everything. "Here you go, hyung."

The banner in question said WELCOME HOME. There were other, smaller banners, that said GET WELL SOON and TAKE CARE. These were neatly written in hangul by Namjoon and Jimin, the calligraphers of the group. Namjoon was decorating with Jungkook, while Hoseok was sweeping the floor. Jimin was setting up the table neatly while Yoongi and Jin hastily prepared and plated the food they had made. After they finished cooking, Seokjin and Yoongi were helping Jimin set up the dining table; Yoongi brought water, soda, and juices with him, since there would be no alcohol in this celebration. At the center of the table, was a vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting covered with fresh strawberries.

The silence in the room was comfortable and anxious. The member could not wait for their brother to be home, so they could take care of him. To say that they were worried was an understatement; they were prohibited from visiting Taehyung, but their manager kept them updated on his condition. However, this did not prevent the members from being extremely concerned for the health of their beloved Tae.

Taehyung's absence was palpable: the house was silent and somber without his deep laugh resonating through the halls. The night in which he was hospitalized, the members stayed awake in their living room waiting for any updates of his condition. They later fell asleep together in early hours of the morning. Jimin and Jungkook cried a lot that day. Hoseok comforted them. Seokjin and Namjoon were calling their managers every ten minutes to see if there was an update. Yoongi tried to figure out a way to sneak into the hospital without being spotted by fans or staff, but the place was too secured and the company had stationed body guards to follow them if they were to exit their household.

Yoongi was very mad at the way the company was managing the situation and, when everyone else fell asleep, he was left awake with bitter tears of frustration staining his pale cheeks. The boys were one in their concern, but handled it differently. When they were told Taheyung was being released, they were ecstatic. Hoseok suggested to throw him a little get well dinner and the members agreed. All of the Bangtan members were given rest and their schedules were cleared to ensure none of them got sick. Even if their action seemed cruel, the company did care about them, but business was business.

The men had finished getting the living area ready for their dinner party when they heard the rustling of keys. Taehyung had arrived. All their breaths hitched and their hearts raced.

Seokjin quickly ran to the door to let him in; he opened the door and felt his chest tighten as he stared at the person in front of him. His tanned skin was at least two shades lighter than normal, his under eyes were dark and sunken, his clothes looked more baggy on him, and his breathing was uneven. A small smile painted his beautiful face as he said:

"Hyung I-," Taejyung could not say more, as he was strongly, yet gently embraced by the oldest member of his musical family. He hugged back weakly. He later noticed that Seokjin was crying.
