As I was lying in my bed I suddenly heard my phone go off. Obviously it was Sal. As everyone could believe.
"Can you help now?" He wrote.
I scowled at the text. Seriously? Why did I offer to help?
I started typing.
"Sure, what do you need help with?"
I saw the dotted speech Buble pop up. After a few minutes he answered, "Everything I forgot how to do it from 7th grade."
Somehow I couldn't blame him.
"Your teacher didn't reteach it?"
He replied, "No."
I started typing, "Just multiply the diameter by 3.14 and that's it. if you already have the radius, multiply by 2."
As I put my phone down it when off one more time.
"Thx Friend"
How beautiful.
I love how he just abandons you when he decides he doesn't want you, then acts like he wants to be your friend for help.
Honestly, I was surprised he didn't just ask for the answers.
That night was like all the others. My mom came home around 6 pm from her job, I texted Stevie aimlessly and created some messed up anime.
When morning finally came as I exited my aged house I noticed as I opened my  messaging app Sal messaged me.
"My GF was wondering if you had a boyfriend"
I stopped on my porch.
How fricken random.
He knows I had feelings for him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he forgot.
As I started down the path I answered.
"Seriously, why do you care."
Halfway  to my bus he replied, "cuz I do."
What the hell is that supposed to mean?
I stopped to text him back.
"no one. I'm single still."
I waited a few minutes for a reply, after waiting and no answer I started walking again.
As I walked the morning itself was chilled, scattered rain. like usual.
As the eroded path led to my bus stop I glanced at my phone. I didn't care if he texted me back or not, surprisingly this time I wanted to talk to Nick.
Looking up as other teens arrived I watched the cars on the road in front of my neighbor drive by faster than they should. Unfortunately,  the cars were drowning out my music.
