Sin and Corruption (Part 11)

I smile then head out, and go to the one spot I knew Jewlian would be at.  Once I get to the location I look around, 'This park has been here since we were kids... We would always play here.' I spot Jewlian on the monkey bars and walk over nonchalantly. "Hey."

Jewlian jumps and looks at me, instantly lighting up as she jumps down, stumbling a little but she manages, and runs to me, "Caleb... so... you don't hate me?"

"Of course not, I just needed time to get my bearings together."

Jewlian nods excitedly, "So can we go on a date?!"

"Umm... why are you asking so suddenly?"

"You don't want to..?" She pouts at me.

"I'm just asking."

"Well uhh... I was hoping that after the date... we could maybe..." she starts blushing heavily.

I instantly knew what she wanted. confirming my beliefs, 'She wants to use me to reproduce.' I look at her and tilt my head. "What do you mean?" I pull her into a hug, holding the knife in my hand, 'There's no way this'll work... right?'

She goes oddly silent, "Did you think I'd be fooled so easily?" She said in an eerily creepy voice.

I instantly went to plunge the knife into her back but the blade snapped in half as I paled, 'Shit shit shit shit, I need to go!' I instantly jumped back as Jewlian began to morph into an alien, similar to the one I had seen in the woods but much, much larger and stronger.  I panic some but instantly calm myself, 'Keep your cool.' I then drag the knife across my stomach and free hand but to my surprise, Jewlian didn't even become affected.  I grit my teeth as Jewlian laughs.

"You really think that'll work on me?  I've adapted, you might've killed my baby using that trick but that won't work on me." Jewlian snickers as her tail whips at me and smacks me into the slide, knocking the wind out of me.

I start laughing psychotically, "Good... you first broke my heart, drove me to my desire to die, and now you'll kill me." I grin as I look up, not a hint of fear in my eyes, solely insanity as I stood up and rushed at Jewlian, which threw her off guard, as I go to plunge the remainder of the blade into a soft spot on her armor plates body.  The blade manages to pierce through but it didn't seem to have much affect as Jewlian just pulls it out.

"Were you not listening when I said this wouldn't work?" She smirks, "My, you really aren't as smart as I thought, but I love the look in your ey-" She was cut off when she felt my entire hand entering her opened wound, screeching in pain as I clawed at her insides, trying to grab hold of an organ or something.  Her green blood, dripping onto the ground, "You impudent and idiotic human!" She goes to crush my skull with her enormous claws but she instantly froze.  I had grabbed an organ. "If you let go then I won't kill your little girlfriend." She smirks as I grin darkly.

"You really think that'll work with me?  Threats?  I came here alone, knowing full well what you are and I have my arm inside of your gut.  I don't think you're the one to make demands."  Jewlian huffs, falling silent with a few pained noises here and there, "Now listen to me you overgrown lizard.  If you even touch Amber, even think of hurting her, I'll hunt down your entire species and rip out their organs one by one.  I'll drive your race to extinction with my bare hands." I look up at her, blood running down my mouth from the multiple internal injuries and broken ribs but I was determined to kill this monster, to get back to Amber, to be happy once again.  I then rip out her organ, crushing it as I pulled, causing Jewlian to scream in pain as she starts to flail about as she slowly fell to the ground.  Jewlian's tail then smacks me away, sending me flying into a building as I cough up blood and my vision darkens, seeing Jewlian start to move towards my house I start to become angrier, forcing myself up.  "What... did I just... say?!" I muster up the strength to rush at Jewlian and tackle her down to the ground, slugging her over and over as hard as I could in her wound, taking every hit she threw in return.  By the time she stopped moving my vision was black and I couldn't see but I heard chatter and screams around me, sirens wailing and the familiar sound of someone.

"Caleb!!!" The voice yelled, it was Amber's.  She rushed to me, "You dumbass!!  How could you be so reckless?!"

All I could do was face her with a weak smile, "Did... did I... win..?" Was all I could say before fainting and falling onto my side.
