kill her with love.

The morning rays of the burning sun hit my face, forcing me to wake up. I took a deep breath and inhaled the mildly polluted air of Australia. I rolled to my side, with my favorite face greeting me, paired with her chubby cheeks and cute nose; oh, how I adore her. I removed myself from her embrace, surprisingly, it wasn't that hard.

I went to the kitchen and started cooking her favorite breakfast cuisine. I prepared her food in a small tray -- an omelet, a bacon, and orange juice, with pancakes and bread. I made my way towards our shared room.

"Good morning." She greeted me as I entered the room. A little bit startled, I asked her why she awoke.

"I felt your absence." She bluntly replied, she's playing hard to get.

"Well, I wanted to make you breakfast. But it seems like you don't appreciate my effort so I guess I'll have these all to me." I turned around and pretended to leave the room. She quickly stood up and shouted.

"Wait! I was kidding, I'm so hungry!" Indeed she was. I chuckled and set the food down the bed. Within a split second, she attacked the food. As I watched her, she asked me if I ate and I shook my head. Her eyebrows met and she told me to eat with her. I declined but she kept on inisisting, I still said no, but she was so stubborn and just brought the food to my mouth.

"Ahh~" She told me while opening her mouth wide. It was too cute, I couldn't say no. I opened my mouth as wide as hers and she laughed. We finished eating, and let's just say it wasn't that proper.

We were disturbed by the ringing of my phone, I excused myself and answered the call.

Jennie

"Hey, something just came up and I have to go somewhere. I promise to be back as soon as possible, are you going to be okay here?" She told me after her call. Her face looked worried and somehow scared, it made my heart thump but I managed to give her a smile.

"Yeah, are you okay?"

"As long as I'm with you, I will be." She reciprocated my smile and kissed me goodbye.

We're on our way to wherever she's taking me. It took her about 3 hours to come back after that important call, and she just dragged me saying we have to go somewhere, she's so impulsive.

Something seems wrong, she's quiet. The atmosphere is tense, her face is full of anxiety. Baby, what's happening?

After about an hour, we arrived at our destination. My heart started to beat abnormally, she looked at me, her mouth sported a smile yet her eyes were lost. She got out of the car and made her way towards my door, opening it and giving out her hand.

"Come on, let's go. We have to catch the sunset."

I watched her as she dragged me into the café, opening the doors and looking for the table where we first met, the table where we watched the sunset together. We passed by the same bartender who was here on that day, she gave us a smile and we did the same. Everything seems so nostalgic, but my heart hurts, something isn't right.

We sat down on the perfect table, the perfect spot to watch the sunset. She let go of my hand, and I swear it yearned for her touch the second she let it go. The barista came to our table, paper and pen on her hands.

"Hey, it's been a long time since you two came here, you're all over the place! I can't believe the two juvenile lovers who would always come here are now worth millions, I'm proud of you both. Now, do you both want the usual? It's on the house."

"Uh, yes! You didn't have to but thank you. You grew up too, Irene. You look much older now." Irene's smile disappeared the moment she heard what I said, she looked at me as if she was ready to devour me.

"Woah, woah! I'm kidding, jeez!" Irene just walked away and rolled her eyes playfully.

I looked around the café, not much had changed. It still looks like the same café years ago, the same café where I first felt my heart beat.

"It's still the same." Park Rosé said while looking at me with an adorning smile.

"You're the same as the first time I met you, too. But this time, you're much more beautiful, because now, I see you. I have explored you, seen you naked and vulnerable. This time, it's so much more colorful, so joyful. I have to thank you for that." She spoke with such sadness in her voice. I held her hand and spoke,

"Rosie, is there something wrong?" I could feel her hand tighten its grip when I mentioned her nickname. She lowered her head and I could hear sobs, sounds of crying. She looked up at me and my heart broke at the sight, I could never bear seeing her cry, it's breaking down my walls.

"Rosie, tell me what's going on, please."

"You know how powerful you are when you use that nickname, huh. You could get anything out of me when you want to."

"Yes, now tell me what's wrong. I can't stand seeing you like this."

"Jennie," She tightened her grip, it was starting to hurt.

"We can't do this anymore." I could feel those five words like a bullet through my heart, it felt surreal, am I dreaming? or is this the reality? did I finally wake up?

"I have to let go now, please don't pull me back. I can't." She stood up, tears flowing so heavily in her cheeks while I sat there, dumbfounded. I could hear every step she made, it all felt like hammers on my chest. The moment I heard the door close, I broke down.

My heart felt heavy, my face wet with tears. I couldn't believe it, how can she break my heart? Things happened too quickly, we were supposed to enjoy our day, reminisce the memories of our youth. I know I hurt her once, and it was bad, but did it affect her too much to the point where she was determined for revenge? Did she plan everything? What did she call it? Kill Jennie Kim with love?

"Hey lovebirds, here's your-" I could hear the breaking of glasses, it was ironic, that was how my heart felt at that moment; a fragile glass, broken into pieces.

"Jennie, what happened?" Irene kept shaking me, forcing me to look at her. I didn't budge, I couldn't, no one should see me in this state, only Park Rosé is the only one I opened myself to, the only one who saw all of me.

Irene gave up and hugged me, comforted me.

Rosie, how could you be so heartless?
